I like watching Locked Up Abroad on National Geographic. Right now they have a Cuba one which is pretty decent. And on the science channel they have a good show called Tank on the Moon, which is about how the Soviets successfully landed two robotic tanks on the moon late 60's/early 70's which roamed around for several years, thanks to the recently USSR space archives that were declassified.

yep, some of their stories are absolutely incredible! Next espisode looks promising, Thailand:

When Sandra was 25 she left a happy middle class upbringing in Kent and the modest antiques business she'd set up to go on holiday to Thailand for three months. She fell in love with the country and stayed for two years, teaching English to Thais. When Sandra fell ill she was unable to continue teaching and found herself without any money not even the fare for the flight home. Then she met Robert Locke, who seemed to offer her a way out of her predicament. Robert, a British traveler and heroin addict, offered to pay her 1000 plus a flight to Tokyo if she would smuggle into Japan his personal heroin stash. Sandra, still recovering from dengue fever and desperate to get back to England, accepted. She was given 90 grams of heroin by Locke, which she secreted inside herself, and a ticket to Japan.

Man that one was horrible. Less than five minutes was about her being locked up in Cuba and after like 6 years in prison all that happened to the bitch was that she learned Spanish.

yeah that pissed me off, still interesting story nonetheless. I cant remember the one I saw before this one, I think somewhere in south america. Dude was in prison and made a little posse for himself, attacked the guards in the tower and escaped....only to get caught again and sent back. could have been a movie

I was hoping they were going to make an example of her and like cane her or something. Damn cubans being too compassionate.

When I was there they told us a story to keep us from ending up like that dumb bitch and to keep us from trying to find drugs. Was about two cuban guys in a club. They've got a joint. The one guy gets busted by the cops with it. The other guy says to the cops "No it's ok guys it was mine you can let him go. it was mine." So the cops shrug and say "ok your drugs." "Take em away boys." "His drugs and the other guy was carrying them for him." 5 years for them each.
