I agree, SC is definitely not as good as its past teams (impossible to compare to the last 2 years teams). They are full of talent, but you have to figure inconsistency might be a problem while they grow through out the season.

I don't really like LA. In fact i'll probably bet against them big to lose that first game of the year vs. Utah. Oregon I guess could be decent and possibly ASU, but SC and Cal are easily the top 2 teams in the Pac-10.

Cal's QB is up in the air right now. Ayoob was terrible this year, but he has experience now and the new OC favors a mobile QB. Longshore is there too and Levy did lead them to a bowl win, so it's really up in the air. I kinda hope Ayoob wins the job even though he was dog shit last year.

UCLA defense was hot garbage last year. They lose their LB's (their strength last year), but their DL might be decent if they can stay healthly. They lose their game breaker in Drew, and the top receiver in Lewis, plus they need to work in the oldest player in the NCAA at QB in Olson. Dorrell will have to do a serious coaching job to get them to overachieve.

please let me know what makes LA so good?

He showed some greatness at times last year....I think it was in the bowl game against Penn St. he took a swing pass or screen and smoke deveryone down the sideline for a 50+ yard touchdown....The only thing I dont like about him is he seems to go down kinda easy, like he's crazy legged or something....

Right. They did lose 9 starters on D, but you know damn well they're gonna be tough just like every other year. And they're loaded on offense this season. Smith, Ginn, Holmes, and Pittman are gonna cause a lot of problems for opposing defenses.
