It's not what you know but who you know...
Not saying education isn't worth it but all the people that I know that didn't go to college are making good money or have a job that is a good career.
One of my friends has a masters in English, another in Chemistry and they still can't find a good job. They still work high school jobs at Costco or being a Server at restaurant. It's sad knowing they're blowing all their money on education and can't secure a proper job.
Then you have people who keep going to school because they are undecided or feel that they'll have a top paying job once they graduate, not saying you're doing that but yea times are tough.

It's ironic, but most of the people I know who didn't get any college degrees or were fuckups in Highschool, their doing it the best right now also. I think it just comes down to building up that work experience early on str8 outta highschool and having a really good mouth piece.
Most people who say fuck it to college or who were the "cool guys" in highschool usually have good common sense and street knowledge, THEY CAN COMMUNICATE. That's all it comes down to, communication. A lot of college nerds out there can't communicate or don't know the world enough to do so, their just book smart.
I just got my Associates in Science this past fall, but that's the furthest I'm planning on taking it right now because of the saturation in competition. Having a college degree is the social norm right now. Everyone either has one or is working on getting one. Most don't respect the idea of getting a degree, their just doing it because their friends are doing it and to kill time so mommy & daddy can still help them. People need to focus in on real careers if their going to get these upper degrees, become a doctor, lawyer,... shit that's focused in on one thing, not these broad ass degrees like Business. You'll just end up stuck in the middle like everyone else. So who the fuck do employers hire then? Certainly those with more work experience, good mouth piece, good common sense and other traits that make up a respectable person.
Bottomline, the economy is fucked up. The economy will soon dictate where new jobs will emerge.
