LMAO. Underrated is more like it. He doesn't get as much credit as he should. And Curry or Gabriel doing just as good a job as Porter? Yeah right.
Porter has wanted out of Oakland since they got Randy Moss. They made him think he was finally gonna be the #1, then they turned around and acquired Moss. He's good enough to be a number 1 guy, and he knows it. Don't be surprised if he does turn out to be a cancer within the Raider organization. Acting up is the best way to get out of a place you don't want to be in.
Actually, it has been reported that Porter was informed that Randy Moss was being sought after during the talks with his contract extension. It was even reported that he welcomed Randy to Oakland and showed maturity from when the Raiders added Rice. It was well noted that he was pissed when the Raiders signed Rice, because he was told he would be coming into the #1 WR position with Brown aging. It came as a total suprise to Porter that Rice was added to the Raiders arsenal. Moss on the other hand was a different story, the Raiders informed him that he would be a teammate and he signed the contract.
About the cancer to the team, sad to say but this is not new. Although he was never the loudest mouth, he was part of the group that consisted of: Garner, C. Wood, M. Anderson, and Buchanon that thought they didnt have to listen to the coach(Callahan and Turner). He is the last of the remaining big name "rebels". I think Shell willl set him either straight or free. I hope they can change his rebellious ways.
Like I said I follow the Raiders, if you follow the time line he wanted out when they signed Rice, because he was according to him "suckered" to believe he was to be #1. He was notified about Moss coming into town, which pissed me off cause we gave a good sized contract when we were acquiring Moss, money I believed should of went to the Defensive side. He has always had rebelious ways with the Raiders, he was on Gruden's, Callahan's, Turner's, and now Shell's badside. If he wants out it has little to do with Moss.
