Can we just blow Florida up? This has happened just this week down in Orlando:

Police ID man who killed singer Christina Grimmie - CNN.com

Deputies: Child dragged into water by gator near Disney's Grand Floridian

On top of the mass shooting. Jesus fuckin christ...what is with Florida???
It's fairly obvious. In Florida all government business = public business including records, pictures, videos etc. which are made immediately available to the public with almost no exceptions. Thus news agencies are quick to wade through this transparent wealth of information picking up the more bizarre tidbits as click-bait. It's sensationalist for profit "journalism" if you want to call it that; digital vomit.

The only different between Baptist and radical muslims is one is walks the walk, and the other cheer-leads. They have many of the same beliefs, however.
That and modern day imperialism in the middle east that has created such extremism. If the tables were turned, it would be Christians who are blowing themselves up for Christ.

It's funny, in hindsight, almost anyone would absolutely love if Saddam Hussein was still in power.

What do you mean almost no one? The AR-15 by itself is very popular. The difference between military and civilian is one is fully automatic and the other semi automatic, that's it. Clearly having a semi auto isn't stopping the large body counts. Even so, it's easy to modify to fully automatic and there are kits available for purchase.
That's like saying their is a small difference between a civilian Toyota Camry and the NASCAR version lol. There is a monumental difference between a semi-auto and select fire fully auto.

Do you have any experience modifying semi to fully autos because you say it's easy with a nonchalance like you know what you are talking about?

You get an AR for $600. We were just talking about a few pages ago that in Arizona, Florida and other states it takes 20 minutes. No special requirements that you're talking about.
Yes you can get a civilian AR in 20 minutes.

Who needs assault rifles designed for the military? Gun enthusiasts, people who consider these their hobby. The AR-15 has been re-branded and sold as a sporting rifle. They have tournaments and games designed around the gun lol. It isn't necessary, we don't need these types of military style weapons in the hands of your every day person.
We have lots a things available to us in our modern day society that "aren't necessary." If we start defining things by their necessity we might not have very many things left.

I wish we lived in a society where there was no need for guns but unfortunately we live in world filled with humans. Why does the military need guns, why do police need guns? Most of the people that make up the armed forces and police forces are less qualified than you or I to handle such a weapon.

People use guns in these crimes because they are the easiest available option. I don't have a problem making guns harder to get, but even if we made them impossible to get, the people who are committing these terrible crimes will not be dissuaded by their inability to access guns, they will just move on to the next easiest option (explosives, pressure cooker bombs, planes, etc).

The government has failed us many times over, the FBI was monitoring the Orlando shooter, the mom of the Sandy Hook shooter tried to get him committed, many of the people who have committed these terrible crimes have done so because of our government's direct failure to stop them - even when they had the opportunity to do so.

The change needs to come from the government, its the same failure that has caused our prison population to grow out of control. The is a reactive approach rather than a proactive approach, and it has failed.

That doesnt take away the fact that it still is occurring How long it takes to get out to the open is irrelevant.

Yeah, nothing you said here changes the fact that you are wrong. Not sure why you are so mad today but keep talking out the side of your mouth. Not sure if you get off on trolling or you are actually bi-polar. But you get away with way too much on here.

What are you talking about? Military are advised to use them in semi automatic because it's so much more accurate and efficient. Fully auto is RARELY ever used by the military. There is tons of data on this.

Slidefire and similar products. It's literally an ad on you put on to your AR-15 and other various assault rifles. It's simple as fuck watch:

In WA, there is a waiting period...5 days i believe. I thought that was a US thing and not a state by state thing?
In PA, I've been fine buying handguns. I have a few friends with AR-15s and as far as I know it was the same for them. I bought each gun from a distributor and doubt I spent more than 45 minutes total in the store. A good 30 mins was just choosing which gun to buy. Then they ran a background check that took about two minutes. I had to sign a form that said I didn't use drugs. I was high every time I bought one.

My license to carry consisted of filling out a one page piece of paper by hand and showing up at the county sheriff's station with $20. I got my picture taken and legitimately looked like a terrorist in the picture.

I know in PA you have to be 21 to buy a handgun but only 18 to buy a rifle. I'm curious if an 18 year old can buy an AR-15 here, since it's a rifle.

I had a harder time updating my driver's license since its a two-step process here.

And this is part of the issue right here. These "checks" are just half assed attempts at abiding to the laws some of these gun store owners dont agree with. Now im not saying that smoking weed and guns are linked to any killing sprees, and im almost positive they arent...that still is going against what lawmakers have put into place.

I found this too....not sure if im buying the excuse WalMart gave..

Not to butt in, but I do, and it is easy. If you're talking about converting a gun to a truly automatic gun, then you're right, it does take a little bit of work. It's more than just swapping out one part for another. But there are ways to essentially "fake" a fully automatic without doing the full conversion so that you have more than one fire per trigger pull. Essentially you're just transferring the force from the bolt carrier so that when the gun shoots, it uses its own weight to reset the trigger.

Anybody with a little bit of gun competence could do it quickly. Anybody with no friends, internet access, a lifetime of bullying, and free time as a result of no friends could do it even faster. Aka, the people who actually carry out mass shootings.
