It's too bad you can't restrict who can start new threads

What's the point of having a forum if you are going to close threads you don't like or tell certain people they can only read threads but not make new ones? Why not just get you and your friends together, get on a messenger program and talk about tech n9ne/strange music to yourselfs? I understand that these boards need to be moderated in order to keep leaked music and other things out of here, but theres no need to let the power of controlling an online forum go to your head. That's not directed to any one person...but all online forum moderators in general.

If you had a bunch of idiots hangin outside of your apt complex on the sidewalk...saying & doing stupid things.....yelling ranting...invading you & your neighbors personal space and relaxation time....

would you ask the building super or police to clean up the sidewalk...or would you wait until they caused damage to personal property or broke a law?

Don't bump them and they'll go away. The internet needs to be uncencored. I understand that some boards are pointless, but if people want to talk about pointless shit, fuck it, let them do it. If you don't want to talk about it, use your brain and don't click on the god damn thread.

Its kinda hard not too, when every new thread that is made is useless, and what you said is useless. I know I don't have to click on it, but I'm going to, and then I'm gonna voice my opinon. So if you don't like what I say, maybe you should close your eyes and not read it, and that's about as dumb as what you just said. Maybe you need to start using your brain period.

i think part of why theres a lot of threads getting shut down is that theres actual news to talk about. back in like march there wasnt a lot of new stuff to talk about so people had to find old stuff to talk about or say something stupid, otherwise thered be nithing to say

Seriously, if you internet-forum-vets want to just talk to each other, start a Yahoo newsgroup and say nothing. Stop whining.

I don't agree with mods editing posts unless someone is blatantly crashing, botting, or flaming posts. There really is not a lot of that on this board. You may not like the opininons or topics, but it's not like their posting ads for eatmyrottenass.com.

Frankly, I find the entire scene entertaining. The "cool" ones in this crowd are those who have the most posts. Which means they spend the most time alone with their computer. Boy have things have changed since I was a kid. We used to judge coolness by who got laid the most. Or who could drink the most beer. Never by how many internet chat posts we had.

there is a hugh difference between an online forum and the sidewalk outside my apartment complex. everybody and their mom that has access to the internet has access to this forum... not as many people have access to the sidewalk on Peach Ave. BIG difference.
