you can read the whole bible, understand the original greek, hebrew texts. understand the mesoretic, septuagint, and latin vulgate(the old testament translated or copied unto hebrew texts, then greek, and then latin) read genesis through revelation back and fourth. understanding the common terms and interactions of the times. learn the connotation of a specific word at that time. YET STILL NOT UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE! You could be the best bible scholar in the world! JUST LIKE NICODEMUS, A master of the Tanakh in Israel, and completely miss the whole concept of God's Teachings.
If you're not born again, which is a term often misused and often mis-associated, you won't get the revelation that you need to understand. If I try to explain it, it would be in vain. You need your own experience with the Holy Ghost, cause I received my revelation in the month of September. Entering this forum I had no true understanding of the bible, I was using my interpretations with prudence. But I'll leave it at that, the Holy Spirit is self revealing, and no man can explain the mystery unless it be the Will of God.
Say my explanation is vague, but just as the Lord said, if a man doesn't welcome your message brush the dust off, and those who willingly take his word, continue to water it down with more of the Word. We sow the seeds and water It, But the Lord reaps the Harvest! Those who have eyes let them see, those who have ears, let them hear!
No one will ever understand the bible in it's entirety, that why the gospels and the book of acts, or the bible as a whole puts alot of emphasis into searching the scriptures! Your start as a Christian is like that of a Mustard seedI(also the parable applied to the kingdom of God). But the Mustard seed is a very small seed, but when it grows it's the greatest of all herbs. You're walk with God, you start of with some or little faith, as you walk more and more with him In Spirit(which by his grace will his Holy Spirit show you) and searching the scriptures you water the seed, or in this case the mustard seed. For those who've started a walk with God or have been, just a word of encouragment don't stop! Blessed is he that thirsts and hungers for righteousness! Surely the Lord shall supply that thirst and hunger, yet it's never enough! That's why we learn something new everyday. The Bible says, QUENCH NOT THE SPIRIT, meaning keep the thirst for his Word Going.

If I told you the vision I had, you fools would all laugh. To make it short, I saw a consuming Fire, and this fire was with me til the Day I was baptized! When the day come for me to be baptized, it was no longer fire but LIGHT! Then came the time for me to baptized, I blacked out and when I was lifted up after being baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ, I seen a different light. If you have actually read Tao Te Tjing and you can tell me you didn't learn one valuable lesson from it I am seriously doubting your intelligence.
