RuThLeSs RiCk: Do you know and understand that the Bible was written by human beings like us? Do you understand that the Bible was not written in the English language? I have yet to read this great book, but I have an understanding for how it was written/re-written, and more importantly, though I can not prove it with my own skills, I understand that it is often misinterpreted. Much of this can be attributed to the translations and alterations this book has endured over hundreds of years.

If I could get my hands on an original version of the Bible, written in a non-enlish language, I would study that language, and read it. But as of right now, I could not tell you if I was reading a genuine observatrion of Jesus, or some added writings put on paper to help shape the new-age christian philosophy. Religion (including the Bible) has been watered down to fit those who are in control of it. For these reason I shun religion and establish my own relationship with God. If God approaches me and tells me to read the Bible, I will do so without question, and I will believe that it is genuine. But if not, I will have to assume--with knowledge of this worlds corruption--that the Bible is not as it once was.

Christianity teaches to love one another and to be peaceful. Even if it is a false religion, how could it be stupid as fuck?

I don't think it is wrong to read and worship the Bible.
I also do not think it is wrong to question it.
You broke it down pretty good. I'm a Catholic, and at one point in my early life I picked up a bible and started reading. It says in there to not read and attempt to interpret to your own words. i think its more of a morale issue.

Do you realize that the Bible was written by a group of ignorant ass nomads roaming the deserts several thousand yeas ago? And as such it represents the misinformed views about the world of those same ignorant nomads....

i answer your questions with this....
......no one can see god....
...he is to perfect for us to see him.....one man saw god...and went blind....Moses saw his back while in the moutains...and grew very old....

...yes i have talked to him....i know he exists casue he talks back...and answers my prayers...
i know Jesus loves 2-0-sixx cause he died on the cross for you...and for me...and for everyone....on the siccness.....

.....its not a fairytale...although i know your hardened heart wishes it was.....it is true....science even says he existed.....you should watch a show on the Discovery channel called "scientifically prving the bible"....
they are scientist...that prove happenings in the bible....
its a awesome show...

...........

you think science can explain everything....but they can not...

Inferno.....

one of my biggest problems is the speaking in tonges issue.....
i grew up in a penticostle church....and it was like ...you had to speak in tongues to be considered...a person of god....
.....by reading about speaking in tongues i believe what god is tryin to say...is ....someone filled with the spirit should always be able to translate....

i think people miss use speaking in tongues as a whole...

through my experience...

Wow, here rears the face of True Apostasy. 2nd Timothy Chapter 4:4 "And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."

To those familiar with the Parable of the Seed sower this is a perfect example of a man who's Seed of God fell upon Stony Ground.

Sower=God
Seed=His Word
Where the seeds fell=The Hearts of Men

Mark Chapter 4:5

And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth: and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:

Chapter 4:6

But when the sun was up, it was scorched: and because it had no root, it withered away.

JESUS EXPLAINS it in Verse 16

And these are they likewise which are sown stony ground: who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness:

Verse 17 And have no root in themselves, and so but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

Either that or he must have been the One that the Seeds were planted in Thorny bush, where the Word Grew in Him and Satan took the Word from his Heart. Chapter 4:7 and Chapter 4:15 explains it

I know everyone is gonna come and say something stupid, but those who have an ear let them hear, and those who have eyes let them see! In this case since I can only reach you through text, Let those with believing eyes see!

@ThaG, these Stupid nomads have done more for the world than you ever have. Why are the Wise and Prudent the ones always bashing religion? When the simpletons or those more open minded yet intellectual can reason with the religion or better yet relate more to. Dexter you need to get out the lab more brother.

I don't believe that, but I will say that the bible may not be 100% accurate.

cant be humble or i would get stepped on

ima fuck some ho's, make money, help the fam and other's
but my spirituality definitely has made me balance my life(i dont go to church, but i dont find a reason to be guilty about it either)

also, why would you read the bible as a guide tho?

i mean, its obvious that time has changed, fucking & marrying massive amounts of women including your family members has nothing to do with the 21st century

The bible is a huge fiction novel.

LOL @ turning water into wine and parting a fuckin sea...i guess David Blaine=Jesus.
If the bible was fiction, then people wouldn't say there was proof of things the bible said happened. What's so funny about water turning into wine, or the parting of the sea? Don't know why you would guess David Blaine is Jesus, when he's just a magician.

Not sure if all that's in the bible, but there is much more.

Well these days you can listen to it on DVD, so I guess not everyone should have to read it. It's good to read tho & especially something like the bible, which is the best book, that'll teach things everyone should know.
I happen to have read (most of the old testament) and you can learn some lessons out of it... but so can you by reading "Little redriding hood" and if you actually believe Jesus could turn water into wine I think you should be in a mental institution (no disrespect to christians, just my personal opinion)

I think if you want to learn some lessons from a book try to read Tao Te Tjing

Don't even compare Tao Te Tjing to the BIBLE, or especially Little Red Riding Hood! If Jesus could do miracles, then I'm sure turning water into wine wouldn't have been hard. I take disrespect to your comment, because you basically called all the Christians & I retarded. You're just an ignorant fool.

LOL

Just because it's written in a 2000 (less than that actually) year old book, it must be true:confused:
