I doubt it will cost that much my guess is 350-400 bucks tops they will probably price it somewhere around the price of a 49 key axium or the korg micro control since they are all roughly the same product. this AKAI one has little faders on it though, those would come in handy for those like me who hate using a mouse all the time. the pads will have a better feel than at least the korg which are hard and no fun. I have a pad kontrol and i hate the feel of that thing, shoulda got the trigger finger or the akai mpd

It also has Levels, like on the MPC. 12 & Full though. No 16 levels, but it has levels, which is solid for those who sample a lot.

yeah CMEs controllers are clownin but for alot of their prices i'd rather break bread for a full blown workstation or a saucy rackmount. I think their most expensive one is 700-800 bucks. that shit is got hella buttons and faders on it and their boards are very well built out of aluminum. I never seen one in action though.

my janky ass midiman controller does every thing i need and ive had it for like 4 years, no problems ever. I had that lame ass korg pad kontrol for like 3 months before one of the pads stuck and only works like half the time, worst 2 bills i ever spent on gear in my life i dont even use it anymore.

^thats crazy those controllers look like hella high end boards though, i bet they are hella handy for extensive plug ins but thats way too much loot to spend on a midi controller.

my bad for the misunderstanding.. i meant "copped" as in WHEN it drops.. i start working at guitar center on van ness some time next week so thats where the 40% came in.. the list price is like $530 though..

list is always bullshit, i bet you retail the thing will be the same price as the korg microkontrol since its its main compitition

so what the deal with working at guitar center? you get fat commissions or what? I always kinda wanted to work there but i didn't want to fall into the burn out recording school student that works at guitar center label lol. If its pays though I'd jump ship and roll over there though lol. I think id have fun talking about gear all day long.
