For those of you who do not have health insurance through your employer or your parent's employer, could you recommend some good health insurance plans? My health insurance is expiring in a few days and I really need to see a doctor regarding a health issue. Could you please recommend some plans?

I've obviously tried googling, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

but on the real, your best bet is to do your own research by calling around / looking at each plan because it varies so widely.

Billy Mays pitched this as bein the best low-cost solution:

http://www.icanbenefit.com/

of course, he then died two months later from a lifetime addiction to cocaine.. lol... so who knows.

Dont know where you stay but if your in the east bay they had a write up in the paper about a medical clinic in fremont that handle a wide range of medical probs. My potna went cause hes part time at his job or on call and they didnt charge him nothing. He said its all based on what you make and even then depends on what you can afford. I think its called tri citys health clinic.

yo.. i just went online and got blue shield. i pay 60 bucks a month.
a month later i went to the hospital wit a brain tum0r
$568,000 later i only owe 1/28th of that.. as of now and im tryin to get that handled as well.

edit: i just thought i had acid reflux..went to neighborhood cliinic and that was all good. felt i needed to see a specialist so u had to have insurance for that.. so i bought the cheapest blue shield plan. i had to send them the previous clinic's finding to get in..so no "preexisting conditions" prevented me.
