^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^I'm on the MSI Wind right now it goes super hard in the paint. If you are using your computer mostly for web + email there is almost no reason to buy a full-fledged notebook. The netbooks run microsoft office no problem. hard disk is tiny, so you cant put lots of programs on there. $350

I haven't used the netbook much, but from what I have used, it works great

I have a regular notebook, but it's a widecreen and kinda big to lug around... I'm gonna use the netbook for school and when I'm out and about... plus it's connected to the verizon network so I can use it anywhere verizon gets service (which is all over cause they have great coverage) without wifi, but I can connect to wifi as well

the internet is a little slower usning VZaccess (Verizon's network) but not too much slower

it is slower downloading... I was downloading MS office onto it and it took a while... but like the guy above me said, it does what you need to do

this is the one I have

if you are using it out and about i hope the battery on yours is better, the one on mine is really useless -- only good for 1.5 hours tops. For a lot of them you can buy a bigger battery that runs about 80 bucks, might not be a terrible idea.

I'm honestly not sure

I haven't used it enough to really know how good the battery is, just played around with it a little bit

I start school back up next week, so I'll be taking it with me and using it more, I'll be sure to bring the charger with me so I can try to plug it in and charge it in class if necessary

I guess it's not great... just found this on a cnet review

"One area we were concerned about was the battery. With only a three-cell battery, the Mini line doesn't have a very long battery life, and even with the 3G modem turned off, the Mini 1151NR ran for only 2 hours and 30 minutes on our video file playback test, about 15 minutes less than the original HP Mini 1000. Unfortunately, a six-cell battery seems to be a requirement for extended use of a Netbook. HP offers one if you buy the Mini direct from them, but we didn't see any way to get it as part of your Verizon order."

I know we sell vehicle charges for the Netbooks but netbook batterys are kind of limited IMO. I always bring my charger with me just in case. If I dont need it I never let it idol I just shut it off

Blackberries in general take forever to boot, no matter the model or carrier. It's painstaking honestly and don't ever let your battery die completely. You will have to charge that shit for like 20 minutes for the radio to allow you to turn it back on and make a phone call.

My windows mobile phone takes 45 seconds from OFF to fully booted and functional.

Ive always wanted one of those netbooks, but I have a hard enough time getting a laptop as of right now. The G1 was the most capable phone Ive ever used in my entire lifetime (Ive been though a lot of phones) but I like this blackberry since I could finally go on the internet

Blackberrys more than any other phone take longer to boot up because of all the firewalls it has protecting it, so it takes a while for that all to load before the phone is active. Blackberrys are the most secure phone to use, which is why they are contracted to govt and such...

IMO blackberrys are only good if your a business man. They are made for appointment settings, scheduling, emailing attachments ect. But basically suck for everything else. The run on Edge not 3G so it makes em super slow, unless u get the BB Bold. I hate BB actually...

Iphone is the way to go. Is the absolute best phone to web browse with, full HTML, fast processor and the apps cannot be matched...

MAIN reason I hate BB is that fuckin scroll ball... They ALWAYS go bad and stop working. I sell cell phones and I cant tell you how often those fuckers need to be replaced. Its rediculous.

Other than that tho, ya for 50 bucks its a cool deal. But like I said, they are hella slow and so if you want it for internet use I wouldnt get it.

Depending on what network you're on. Verizon's run on 3G EVDO for data services. Also blackberry's are great for business but with support from Rhapsody it's excellent for your audio needs without even mentioning video.
