Are there any good CD cleaning products that you recommend?

I just bought this Memorex CD Cleaner and it didn't do a damn thing to the CDs I used it on. It said it would fix scratches and make CDs play perfectly, but I think all it really did was clean surface marks such as fingerprints, which I could have cleaned with a tissue and not have spent $14.

Skip Doctor WILL take out lighter scratches that are affecting play, but you're CD's won't look pretty in the end. Basically, it sands off a minute layer of the CD plastic, in essence making the scratch less deep. It's quite noticeable.

Still, it brought probably 5-10 CD's that I hadn't been able to listen to in YEARS back to life.

I got connections with this guy that instantly takes a light to medium scratched discs and make it look almost new to brand new! The results vary with deeper scratches. Just as long as the scratch is not visible on both sides then it can be fixed and looking like it was new again. One cd i got fixed was my Do or Die "Falling In Love With The Game" CD. It was skipping on tracks 2 and 3 because of some few light scratches.. After I got it fixed, the cd came back looking absolutely new and played flawlessly! BTW it doesn't turn out looking like the Skip Doctor or anything.. its professionally done.. Better yet, I only get charged $2 per disc for the repair or cleaning.

Also if you're looking to just simply cleaning the cd that has fingerprints, use an Eyeglass cleaning solution and the eyeglass cloth to wipe the disc off your cd. It cleans it without any streaks and does not scratch your disc at all. You can get this cleaning kit at any local eye glass store (Lenscrafters, etc.) I've used it for 8 years and very satisfied with the outcome.

^^^got the same hookup, i let my dude do all my discs and make mint again, it does the same thing as the skip doctor only really fast so it doesnt mar them
