hey ive got a 2000 GMC Jimmy 4dr, im lookin for a car system and im wondering if someone could pin point me to some nice items, i dont know the whole car audio industry and what the good stuff is so im askin here, i need a cd/mp3 player, an amplifier, dual subwoofers, and speakers, something around $700-$1000 please state the best options and where it would cheap to get

^^^ I used to be when I was looking to buy a system, but now that I'm not I don't see the point. Lots of smart people on there though.

For install crutchfield.com is the shit I found everything I needed to put my amp and sub in. You also need to remember that you need wiring and that can be more expensive than you would have thought. As long as you feel comfortable doing the install you can save a lot of money. You might also want to invest in a coat hanger for running some of the wires to your battery through the firewall.
