I have a pioneer system in my car. The deck says it is 50Wx4 and I just put an 760W pioneer amp in with a 1000W infinity 10" sub. My fron speakers are 6.5 pioneers and are 220W. The rear speakers are 6x9 pioneer 400W. My systen sounds a lot better with the amp and sub but when I turn it up a lot some songs still dont sound as good since the speakers in the car are a lot weaker. I was looking into buying a 4 channel amp to hook up the rest of my speakers what would you guys recomend and will it all be able to run off of my batery because even with what I have now the lights start to flicker when the amp is drawing a lot of power. I dont know too much about car audio but I did hook up my amp and sub on my own will a 4 channel be as easy to do myself? Thanks for the help.

you should be koo, but i would recommend at least a 2 farad capacitor, it helps your subs slap better, so your amps wont draw so much power from your battery, and the amps will get the power out of them, get a crossover too so you can adjust your frequences

just never go by the max wattage that the speaker can withstand when picking an amp. go by the root mean square wattage (RMS) which is like that average then get an amp thats is around the total of that and it will be able to pump it out just fine

personally I have 2 MTX 10s which are 300WRMS with 4 infinity 5 1/2s rated at like 220watts which really equals like 75 rms a piece with a Premere (pioneers high end shit) 50x4 deck all going through like a 900 watt 5 channel MTX amp and it sounds great. couldn't be happier with it

see some companies like sony will boast 2000 watt 12s and sell them for like 100 bucks a pop when the rms of said speaker is only like 200 watts and will sound like shit and will eventually blow out of you. find speakers with a high rms value and you will see and hear the difference.

^^^...THE TRUTH COULDN'T HAVE BEEN SAID ANY CLEARER.

BY THE WAY...THOSE PIONEER AMPS THAT "SAY" 700 OR 800 WATTS ARE ASS. SOUNDS LIKE YOU GOT YOUR SYSTEM AT BEST BUY. IF SO, YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE WITH THE INFINITY AMPS.

I was looking at this amp since my front speakers are 50W RMS and the back are 70W. The only thing that I didnt understand was how usefull this would be but from waht I saw most decks are 22W RMS. So it should sound good. The only other thing I am worried about is installing it. My 2 channel was easy but it seems like a 4 channel would be a lot more dificult. Thanks for the help. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-soTE0nsm8Xm/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=120&I=037A4004V

^^^i bought all of the stuff for my system off of e-bay because it was way cheaper. The amp is like 760W but the rms on 2 channel at 4 ohms is 125W.
