the 03-04 cobra's can be built up pretty damn fast. i kno some ppl that can handle 700+hp no problem w/ blowers and all that. the ls1 motors have alwaays been a fav. of mine, b/c imo, they're a lot easier to mod and thats just me. head on over 2 ls1tech.com to get more details.
as for imports, i've always been an import fan before an american muscle fan. peep the vid of the supra vs. the foxbody mustang on my page. i guarantee you, take the fastest built supra and line it w/ a ford or something. sure, the torque on a ford will rip it off(if u got enought power for that, you're gonna need support for your frame) BUT, make it a race for 1/2 mile, and the supra will beat it. If u have a rly big turbo on a supra like t88 or something, once it spools, its gonna FLY. There a was a Nissan silvia that was running a T88 and it hit 8’s-9’s all day on tha quarter. If u have the right kind of import like a skyline or a supra that have mostly rwd, they’ll spank a lot of muscle cars b/c muscle cars are mostly good for torque. There was a video I saw of a supra racing a nova and the nova raped the supra but it couldn’t go much faster than 130mph and that’s when the supra overtook it. These kinda cars are also a lot lighter than cobra’s n shit. I’ll post a vid later cuz im at school right now about a 600hp supra racing a 600hp stang and it’s pretty damn sick. I love both types of cars the same but I’d take a car like a supra or skyline mainly b/c of the fact that American cars are prone to breaking down more easily than Japanese cars.

Dude, who races a damn 1/2 mile? That is some fast and furious shit. The Supra is a very nice car, dont get me wrong. However, they arent ideal or drag racing. If you want to get into the freeway shit the KING is a turbo'd dodge viper. Look up Gary Javo and his viper. There is a guy also with a yellow turbod viper that runs 8's and like 160mph in a street legal car!
You can also buy turbo kits for a mustang that will make 500+ hp like 8 lbs of boost and split the block.

i kno the yellow one ur talkin bout. Well, I prefer to run ½ mile races cuz of the tendency u go faster, ya dig? Yea the vipers can be pretty damn mean sometimes too in terms of that. I might not be correct, but the yellow viper ur talking bout is the fastest viper to run the quarter I think but I have seen a lot of vids of skyline r33’s n 34’s that can run it in 7. I would rly like to see a race between UK’s Sumo power r34 skyline vs. that yellow viper. I kno the yellow viper is pushing more than 1000hp. The sumo skyline pushes near the same power..
