Silencers are illegal, beams and infra-red are both legal. Some high end infra-red add-ons are not available to the public (military issued) but it is not illegal to own one.

In reagrds to your other post, I am not a big fan of Glocks so I would go with the SW, in general. It depends on the caliber though.

No, they do ask for references for a CCW.
For a firearm they do a background check (which you have to pay for).

Just go to your local arms dealer. They are usually more than happy to assist you.
