Side note to what Cipher was sayin. If I was featured on Jesus's CD, or whoever the big fish is, people would be like "damn whos that" (if I was tight anyway). If Jesus was featured on my CD, people wouldnt know me in the first place to even find out that Jesus was on it. The CD would stay on the shelf.
This is EXACTLY what I've been stressin' since I started my first album, and people been fuckin hatin' me ever since. EVERYBODY and their fuckin mama has the SAME FEATURES on EVERY ALBUM!! Yea, the features are tight most of the time, but the rest of the CD is just pure CRAP!! My boys come to me and say, "should I get so and so on my solo? They have a good following"...and I tell em, "If you can't make it by yourself, you don't belong in the game". I can only name a handful of Bay CD's that don't have the same old features 'cause the cats can hold their own...MY GROUP "P.O.F", DoBad & Kos from SCR (they don't have your average feature), Assassin (he fucks with some of the features but he leans more towards Street Soundz, Jymini and the rest of the LiferDef Squad, plus in my opinion Assassin can do it on his own, he has the talent!! Cane, and Arsen...that's all I can name off right now!!

different folks different strokes! whatever you got to do to satisify yourself! everyone does things different! bottomline is that product! im not really trippin oneway or the other!! if i meet the artist or not im not trippin! its the name you want to put on the cd cover! i know i know thats not music and whatever other opinions youll have but its the cold reality!!!!!! i respect alot of bay artists and there music! but because of yall the fans niggaz feel they need features to sell units! me! nah! you get what you put into it!!!!!!! hustle and it shall come!!!!!!! business is business! its the fools that get features that shit on them that fucks it up!!!! im not sayin im the best mc because that isnt the case!!!! but i hold my own on every track i have features i feel and continue to develop more and more as an artist!!!!!! so whether its bought or spit with you you aint gonna suck the niggaz dick so come on now!!!!!!!! its the name! until more fans respect the game muthafuckaz is gonna have the same old features tryin to sell units!! you cant buy respect in this game! once we figurethat out, get outthere and earn it, the game as we know today will be a thang of the past! this isnt directed towards anyone but my opinion on the subject! play on playaz!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, I'm not against features...but if you're trying to get somewhere in the game by buying verses, you might as well save up and get cats that are big...or straight up try to get a record deal. The ONLY established cats outta the bay that I would fuck with are Quinn, RBL, & Spice 1...I haven't heard everybody else out there cause I don't really buy rap CD's unless it's having to do with 'Pac, Dre, or other older cats that blew up back in the day!! Like I said in another thread, SoCal rap caters to my eardrums so that's what I usually get when I go to the record store!
