well when i get avi (also works with other files WMA etc) files i use winavi to convert them to VTS and i use nero to burn it just using the VOB files and it works great. I could play the movie on anything PS2, XBOX, etc. When i make a copy of a movie i use DVDDecrypter which makes it an ISO file and works on everything as well.

Sorry i doidnt read posts above, WinAvi will only leave watermark because like you said its a trial version. Sometimes if you go on "yahoo answers" and type something in say photoshop serial number sometimes people post them so no need to go to those crack websites.

since it's only 665mb you can try making a vcd on a normal cdr

it makes no sense that the used disc space is 3.89 gb if your movie is only 665mb, unless its converting it. you should try to adjust your conversion settings if thats the case.

and on a side note, why'd you erase the title??? got something to hide?
cuz ive heard that some dvd players dont play VCD and just to be on the safe side

and yeah i guess i have something to hide :siccness:

i got it but i dont know where to put it..

any advice?

i tried sending you a PM but it wouldnt go through since i think your holding space is at its limit

What up. I went and downloaded myself a flick so I could figure this out. The flick I got is also in .avi format. But it is encoded with DivX or XviD codecs. Are you sure the .avi file you have is not encoded in DivX format? Does your .avi file play in windows media player, real player , or quicktime. An .avi Divx file will not play natively in these players without first installing the DivX codec. If it doesn't play...you have yourself a DivX file. If it does play, you have a normal .avi file. and all you need to do is go get a program called WINAVI If you do have a DivX file you can use a program called VSO ConvertX to DVD. don't worry about the codec i mentioned before.

no i wanted the codec cuz i really need to burn Boondocks episodes and i have them in .MP4 and some in .RM and in .RSVB but Nero doesnt let me burn them onto it or even add them to my video thing on the list on nerovision..and i think that might work if you can please throw some links in here please...and i have almost entirely given up on the previous video i wanted to burn cuz its just too complicated and im not up for it yet... but please i need to get a MP4 , RM and RSVB codec thing for nero so i can burn it
