we traded the 29th pick in round 1 and a 3rd rounder this year and a 4th rounder next year for the 15th pick this year!

that now means Denver has #15 AND #22 in round 1 this year!

could we have 2 great picks, or will we package them for an even higher draft pick?

either way this is a GREAT move by Denver and is way better than overpaying for Abraham TO or anyone else that has gotten more money than they deserve so far this year.

Ive actually been hoping for that scenario before this trade, it woulda been like the 22nd and 26th picks, and thats fine with me, im sure there will be some decent players falling down the list, i mean if we can do something like our #6 and maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder for the broncs 2 1st rounders we can grab a sleeper and Sinorice Moss, He would be an instant upgrade as the slot WR, and a return man, imagine on kickoffs having Hicks and Moss returning. Its already been said that AJ hawk and mario williams will not fall to #6, and that Dbrickashaw ferguson has a better chance

For some reason they work out here though?

It's all about getting a quality player for cheap.

The Browns get great talent, don't do anything with it, which in return lowers thier value, and a good coaching team like Denver gets good talent for cheap and teaches them the right way!


got to love farm clubs like Cleveland

If you call it working out for you...then OK. Your D was just as good last year...was it not?

What have they done so great there? Fuckin' "Big Money" Warren? Check out his rookie year that he had for us. That's what he COULD do...if he wasn't a lazy fuck. He did NOTHING better for you than he did for us...same guy.

Let me ask you something...if they are so great...why are they not here? We got a new coach in Romeo...lord knows he could've used some help...but we get rid of these guys?

And I wouldn't call Cleveland a farm club. Lang came from Washington, Myers and Ekuban came from Dallas. Only Brown and Warren were drafted by us.

but seriously, Some players just work better in different systems. Warren was easily our best D-lineman last year. Consistent run stuffer all year. Our pass rush was terrible, but they were the best against the run. Which was opposite of the 2004 Browns who were dead last against the run.

The former Browns players kept talking about how the Browns org kept talking about it always being a rebuilding year. The same attitude that in the future they will be better. By the first few weeks, the attitude and spark always faded. Hopefully, Crennel turns it around.
Throughout the season in Denver they said the attitude never changed. It was always talk of Championship or bust. The intensity was always high and there was a constant feel-good mood around the facilities.

They said it was that factor that kept them playing at a high level rather than going through the motions.
Romeo just knew that they had to go, not that they were bad, but just needed a new environment.

If you can't take shit talking fun in a sports forum I can't help you. Or is it you are mad because of all the times Denver has beat Cleveland?

Or is it because we had the brownies d line which was almost last in rushing year before against the run and had a better ranked d this year? or we went 13-3 while cleveland was 6-10? or afc west champs and afc championship game we didn't actually really do better it was all the same as the year before, right?


hmm only 2 teams gave up less points than denver (Pitt & Chicago), but we weren't better.

It was all in fun....no need to get hurt over it.

If Romeo was such a good coach he would have seen the talent and kept them.

Again GIMPY...I am sorry. Cleveland is not a farm club, they are a respectable team that takes pride in thier city and loves to perform at high levels at all times for thier fans.

I can't argue with too much of that...Butch really hurt us...and he's a hated man in C-Town.

On the flip side...if you get paid that much money...you should bust your ass no matter what. Instead of thinking about themselves, they should be thinking about the fans.

that statement is what is wrong with ALL sports nowadays!!!!

None of them care about anything except the big payday. They make huge money yet still charge fans for autographs and appearances. They make alot of moey but still chose the higher paying teams over the better teams. I agree with what you wrote but us little peons that help pay this salary must not know what we are talking about as we could never be in that position.
