whether ppl think he's overrated or not he has proved himself to be considered one of the best to play with his stats aone he would go down in the HOF instantly. i think it's cool to give him the cover but it's kinda stupid cause it will be madden 09 and he aint playin in 09 but hey what can ya doi?

If you aren't creative/smart/independent enough to pick your own favorite player, you can always sound smart around your friends by picking Brett Favre.

And I dont know if ya'll ever noticed this, but the year on the title of the Madden games all use the previous seasons rosters, as well as the super bowl teams being the first choices to pick on the 'quick game' screen.

sort of like if you were to buy a brand new model car in 2008, you would be buying the "2009 Cadillac _______"

And giving Favre the cover is sort of like a farewell thing I guess you could say, because in theory the next Madden release after this one will not have Brett on the Packers. Favre has been up on Madden since the SNES and Genesis days.

they dont use previous season rosters.....all the draftees and late fa signings are on there....i say the rosters are updated about 2-4 weeks right before the game is released and thats about what we see on the game....
