Lloyd for a 1st rounder.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Lloyd for a 4th and 5th might be realistic.

Actually a 1st rounder is very realistic, The 49ers put a 1st round tender on him, so if sum1 wants to sign him, they give up a 1st rounder, but since wash dont have a 1st rounder, they are going to make a deal

'Skins after Lloyd
<Mar. 11> According to ESPN.com's John Clayton, The Redskins are working on a possible trade for Lloyd. San Francisco gave Lloyd the first-round tender, but the Redskins have initiated trade talks that could give the 49ers two mid-round draft picks.
Lloyd agreed Friday night to make a visit Washington on Sunday. There is a good chance Lloyd will come to an agreement with Redskins for big money before the end of the weekend. Lloyd, 24, led the 49ers with 48 receptions for 733 yards last season. He was a fourth-round pick from Illinois in 2003.

Washington and San Francisco are nearing a deal that would send a 2006 third-round pick and a 2007 fourth-round selection to the 49ers for wide receiver Brandon Lloyd. Pending a physical, the deal should be completed before the end of the weekend.

well on the NFL.com FA thing, they dont have any niner news except this trade, Personally im very glad Lloyd is gone, he was a cancer like TO was, all the veteran Defensive players werent happy with him, and Lloyd said himself he isnt a Nolan type guy, the good thing about this move is it may let us pursue Antawn Randle El, any of yall ever seen that lil white dude PJ Fleck? hes a savage, i think he can be a solid #3, Battle a #2 but it depends on whom they can get @ wr

Niners trade Lloyd to Redskins for draft picksAssociated Press

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The San Francisco 49ers traded leading receiver Brandon Lloyd to Washington on Saturday for the Redskins' third-round pick this year and their fourth-round selection in 2007.

Lloyd was a restricted free agent for the 49ers, who drafted him in the third round three years ago. He was San Francisco's top receiver last season, catching 48 passes for 733 yards and five touchdowns, but alienated teammates and clashed with the coaching staff.

San Francisco signed Lloyd to an offer sheet earlier in the month, but Lloyd seemed eager to leave town -- and Washington seems enamored with his highlight-reel skills. He was scheduled to visit the Redskins' training complex Sunday.

Though Lloyd made countless eye-popping catches during his three years with San Francisco, he also made a series of memorable drops and mistakes. Lloyd drew criticism from hard-nosed teammates such as Fred Beasley and Kevan Barlow for his flashy jewelry -- and his aspirations to become a rapper in his spare time.

Lloyd caught 105 passes for 1,510 yards and 13 touchdowns in his three seasons with San Francisco. He also caught rookie quarterback Alex Smith's only touchdown pass of the season in the 49ers' season-ending win over Houston.

The 49ers already released receiver Johnnie Morton earlier in the offseason, leaving oft-injured Arnaz Battle as their most experienced receiver. They're expected to go after free agents, including Pittsburgh's Antwaan Randle-El, and seek more receiving help in next month's draft.

^yeah agree,
I keep hearing we are going after Randle el good move but he's no #1 like a 2 maybe 3, and you can kiss Andre Carter goodbye he's likely signing with Washington also..
What a bad year to have cash when Nolan self admits he's no football mastermind when it comes to FA's lets due something besides sign Derek and Joe..Give us something to talk about..

I agree with u vinyl, hes a decent WR, and would be a good replacement for lloyd, Im glad Lloyd is gone, hes an underacheiver, yes he will make a nice catch, but then for that 1 catch, he will miss 10 others, Its obvious he was a cancer in the locker room, how u gonna Trex a catch, then say ur QB threw it too early?

Randle el just signed with the Redskins now who's left serioulsy Givens, Bryant, really we have a young QB who needs all the help he can get as I said before Nolan shouldn't be holding the key to free agency....

Damn my skins are gonna be deep this season! I just wonder how the chemistry is gonna be on offense.... Cuz its gonna be hard having four good receivers wanting the ball. I hope Gibbs and Al Saunders come up with some good offensive schemes without having them clash heads or we're gonna have problems during the season! I think we should have spent more money on defense to fill our strong safety, outside linebacker, and defensive end spots.... I wish we could have gotten John Abraham from the Jets but oh well! We need someone who gets pressure at the QB cuz in alot of games last season our line wasn't even doing shit! We'll have to wait and see what goes on....
