NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A man was beaten to death after catching his wife's lover living in a closet in their home, police said Tuesday.

Rafael DeJesus Rocha-Perez, 35, was charged with homicide in the slaying of 44-year-old Jeffrey Freeman over the weekend.

"From time to time, you come across a case with very unique - even bizarre - circumstances," police spokesman Don Aaron said.

"This one probably rates right up there with them."

Freeman's wife had allowed Rocha-Perez to live in a closet of the Freemans' four-bedroom house for about a month without her husband's knowledge, police said. On Sunday, her husband heard Rocha-Perez snoring and discovered him, authorities said.

Freeman ordered his wife to kick the man out of the house while he went for a walk, authorities said. Martha Freeman told authorities when her husband returned, Rocha-Perez confronted him with a shotgun, forced him into a bathroom and bludgeoned him.

The Freemans were co-owners of a company that does background checks for apartment rental and job applicants.

for real. and thats fucked up that the sneaky ass bitch decided to cheat and have dude in the closet then the husband finds out and kills the guy, looses his business and basically his life because of the hoe. that girl has to go through a couple months of depression than she gets over it and has a business to herself an shes coo. crazy how shit can happen so fast in someones life then take a faulty turn like that...

That's a sad, sad story.. Not fair to the husband at all. Husband was an innocent. He could have killed that man right there and then in the closet, but he didn't. I can't imagine the rage and hurt that went through him when he realized what had been going on. The betrayel. And then that boyfriend up and kills him. I blame the wife too, but mostly I blame the boyfriend. He made the choice to kill the husband. The woman was a hussy, the man was a murderer and the Husband suffered for their sins. You could say that disloyalty is one of worst things to me.. To be so inconsiderate as to DO that to someone. Man, it's a terrible thing to think about, how some one could do that to a man that probably loved her and had no idea he was being two-timed..
