yeah my bad Broner, pretty sure Guerrero would have a considerable size and reach advantage. Broner wouldnt be able to just stand there with his hands up and also just walk straight forward cuz Guerrero can put combinations together well. Broner is like a videogame pressing the forward button and holding the block button

I don't think you're crazy. Just not any time soon.

I think Floyd is a smart man he knows after Canelo there aren't many big time money fights left. Pacquiao and possibly Broner down the line. Other than that the 140 pound guys will do Guerrero type PPV numbers.

Also I think Floyd saw with his own eyes broner didn't look great and he's probably a little annoyed at the comparisons cus like he said at age 21 he fought Hernandez and he was fighting tougher opponents than broner...and dominating.


And that's how I always felt too. Mayweather was fucking awesome in those days. Broner honestly doesn't compare at all. Sure he uses a shoulder roll but his footwork is nothing compared to Floyd, he's got a wide stance and doesn't counter that well (he hardly throws if his opponent is throwing punches).

But when Floyd ain't doing much to seperate himself from Broner and the comparisons either!!

When he was interviewed ringside he even said...."I see a young Mayweather in the ring tonight"....

Floyd does a better job at his age dodging punches than Broner does at 23.

This is what I think about Broner and fighting future opponents. He needs to fight people that make him better. Period. Floyd did. DLH did. Pac did. All the "really good fighters" do.

Broner has the talent to be a great fighter and maybe he will learn off of the Paulie fight. I am hoping he does learn from it. He can't expect to dominate or win close fights if he continues to fight the way he did his last fight. Especially at 147.

I think the biggest thing is, Broner knows he has a good chin. I think Floyd must've learned early that he might not of had a great chin or his father beat it into his head that he'd better rely on having great defense.

I've always said that if Mayweather would've stayed at 130-140 for most of his career, he would've likely been in the top 20 fighters of all time in a lot of people's opinions. People would've griped that he was too big for those divisions at some point, and he probably wouldn't be a household name, but as far as legacy I think it would've helped. I think he could've easily dominated guys like Morales, Barrera, Casamayor, Freitas, Juarez, Rios, Hatton, Marquez, Juan Diaz and this current crop of 140lb fighters etc... Not to mention, the Pacquiao fight would've been more likely to happen I think because Mayweather wouldn't hold this superstars mentality that came with all that money and drawing power. He would've been worth less in terms of money, but worth more as far as legacy I would guess.

The first piece of that puzzle comes this weekend, when he faces perennial Top 10 contender Matthew Macklin in an HBO-televised headliner at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

On a side note, the homie from the gym is fighting this weekend. Might be on the Unimas channel if the Main Event ends in a knockout. He's 8-0 6 ko's. He said HBO is looking at him since he's with Top Rank. I wish I could go but his fight is a couple hours away from here and they're sold out anyways.
