I agree with the stoppage. In many eyes, this is Murrays first lost so if the beating wasn't that bad (physically) then he can come back.
Yeah it wasn't necessary for him to continue, he was down by so many points and clearly nothing he landed on GGG even slightly phased him, no point continuing (fight could have been stopped a couple times earlier).

Maybe in September after Canelo takes care of Kirkland May 9th. Pretty much no one is available for GGG in April/May/June for his next fight, but there should be options for later in the year including Canelo. Cotto of course has no one lined up, but Roach already said Golovkin isn't one of the names they are considering.

Bad stoppage, had to turn volume down cause hbo crew were all over ggg dick. Murray showed a lot of heart with some good boxing skills. Ggg took a lot of shots he shouldnt have , ggg is not ready yet.

Not ready for what? What fighter is GGG not ready for?

I think it was pretty obvious after round three Golovkin abandoned any defense because nothing Murray landed phased him, i.e he never got Golovkin's respect. Against a big puncher in Stevens we saw a more tight defense from Golovkin, he was certainly much more aware of Stevens punches. Against Murray he literally didn't care about getting hit because in his mind nothing Murray could land could hurt him. So against guys like Murray he's not going to display much defensive skills, but put him in the ring with a bigger puncher and you'll watch him fight smarter defensively. There are various ways to fight with his relentless offensive style and he's shown us variations depending on the opponents. Towards the later rounds he was letting Murray hit him, he didn't even bother moving his head or try to block, literally sold out 100% because he wasn't worried about anything Murray threw. He's extremely cocky and it was almost comical watching his confidence. And that's basically what he said after the fight, "This is my strategy, maybe first 5/6 rounds, just show you my drama show, and after 6 rounds, just knock him down."

Like I said before, cotto vs ggg next. He has to tease cotto and he did just that. Cotto will do it
Yeah right. Roach already said GGG isn't even on the list of potential opponents. Cotto needs to stop playing and drop his belt because he clearly isn't planning on defending it against any middleweights. No shame in that. Just to back down to 154.

There was nothing wrong with the stoppage. His guys warned him earlier that they would stop it and the ref spoke up as well. The shots GGG took were mosquito bites. He wasn't swollen and bloody like Murray, he simply didn't respect his power so those shots were meaningless. And the crew praised Murray from start to finish they weren't riding anyone.
