Golovkin isn't calling out Mayweather, he just says he'd be open to fighting him at 154 being that Floyd is champion there. They've even specifically said "we are not calling out Mayweather". Obviously any man in boxing from 135 to 160 would want to fight Floyd. Hell, even Andre Ward said he would go down to 160 to fight Floyd. Floyd himself has talked a lot about Golovkin recently, even stating he would beat him.
What weight class did Ward win his Olympic gold medal in?
Many times I've said GGG doesn't need to fight Floyd. But it's Floyd, even non boxers call the guy out. Why are you laughing?
I don't think Ward can beat the guy. If he could then he wouldn't have said let me get a tune up first and when GGG's guys gave him the name and number of who to reach if he was serious he would have done that. And yes, Kovalev is a more dangerous fight as it's against a guy who is similar in size or maybe even bigger (and we're not talking skills, etc, just size.)

He is being asked questions and he was answering. Do you understand the difference? Worrying about someone is when you have their name in your mouth, 24-7, lying about shit, etc. The guy was simply asked questions and he answered just like Floyd was asked questions and he answered.
And he also doesn't fight at super middleweight so what is your point? Why does Ward want to fight a guy that isn't a true SMW instead of fighting a LHW and competing in the class he did where he won gold?
Why does he even need the tune up? Floyd went on vacation for a year or so right? Came back and won his fight. Why does Ward need a thousand and one tune ups and catchweights (and complaining about the guy not making weight) if GGG is no threat?

No one cares about a Floyd fight. Do you see anyone here saying GGG should fight Floyd? No. Do you see GGG asking for a Floyd fight? No. He was asked a question and he answered just like Floyd was asked a question and he answered. The man is trying to unify the MW division. That's his goal, that has been his goal, so stop tripping on him saying he would fight Floyd. BHOP said he would move down to fight Floyd, Sergio constantly said he would fight him at 154, Lara, his mandatory, didn't get the fight at 154, Rhonda Rousey or however you spell her name called out Floyd, McGregor called out Floyd, etc. He's on top, that's what people do, but GGG is not actively pursuing a Floyd fight so why worry about it?
You don't think Golovkin has been trying to fight guys at his own weight class and above? David Lemieux turned him down, N'dam turned him down, Cotto turned him down, Chavez Jr turned him down at 168 and Froch turned him down at 168. Not sure why you get ur panties in a bunch just because Golovkin always gets asked by reporters of a potential Floyd fight and Golovkin simply states he would be willing to go down to 154 to fight him. It's not even GGG coming out and calling out Floyd he's been answering questions by reporters. What is he supposed to say, no? The guy who was never asked about Floyd who came out just to say he'd fight Floyd was Andre Ward, funny you don't have a problem with that which was far more ridiculous. Its too bad Felix Sturm, Sergio Martinez, Cotto, David Lemieux, Canelo, Chavez, Froch, N'dam, Quillin all refused a fight with him, and even Dmitry Pirog pulled out due to injury. It's not his fault he hasn't got the big names yet.

Same boat Bernard Hopkins found himself in at middleweight. Boxing politics kept him from unifying (Don king fighters) just like boxing politics has kept GGG from unifying (Al Haymon). And the top names thought Hopkins was to good to take the risk (like Cotto/Canelo/Martinez for GGG). Hopkins was 36 years old before he got a chance to unify and get his big name fight (against Trinidad). Once he did the big names kept coming. Hopefully ggg gets his big name sooner!
