Don't bring up JCC Jr because if anything that's a perfect example of what I mean by bringing the fighters value down. Quillin, down. Garcia, down. Stevenson, down. And there's still no interest in Thurman like we'd hope. They've all lost millions of dollars all because Haymon doesn't want to fight on HBO. If Crawford goes to Haymon, he will get robbed of any titles he has because the win will go to Danny Garcia, again, at a catchweight.

Fan friendly is giving the fans what they want. For example, Brandon Rios is not the best fighter out there, but HBO will always pay him good money because he fights the best out there, fights a good fight, and usually wins. Haymon's biggest names are Maidana, who is fan friendly, and Danny Garcia, who was fan friendly. All the ratings show is people love boxing, but Haymon is taking huge risks by having his fighters fight on free tv. Now, let's say Danny fought Ruslan, before the Algieri fight like we all wanted, then Peterson. Imagine how many titles he would have unified AND how much money he would have made fighting both? IMO, I think he is very capable of doing that. He could have moved up to 147 making so much more money fighting, let's say Marquez at 145, and beat him too, making him a ppv star making more millions and being the next Mayweather! But hey, I'm not his manager

Also since when has it been a problem to match up top 10 fighters? Thurman Vs. Guerrero was a great fight to make, it didn't turn out to be the greatest, but last I checked Haymon isn't in there fighting.
He's also bringing over one of the best champions in a division that gets absolutely no play in the states and putting him on TV in Marco Huck. He's taking the Kameda brothers and bringing them over to the states. He won the purse bid for Dirrell Vs. De Gale when he could have just said the hell with that belt it could remain vacant.
Where is this allegiance to promoters/managers coming from and only rooting for or against their fighters? That's insane to me. I think he made bad decisions with Chavez Jr, Quillin, LSC, and Stevenson to an extent. But there's really no proof he's lost any of the guys you mentioned money, you mentioned a bunch of fights to be made like it's easy to make fights in boxing regardless of who you're dealing with.
Andre Dirrell & James De Gale are about to make 1.55M to fight each other for a vacant title with a purse bid won by a Haymon affiliated promoter. Meanwhile Lemieux and N'Dam and fighting for $51,000 for a vacant title in a purse bid won by Golden Boy on precious HBO.

Whoever wins that fight will more than likely see a fight with GGG for a unification title, meaning more money than what Quillin made his past fight. And that's why HBO is airing the fightNow, don't single out that quote like it's period point blank type shit. I said Garcia had the potential of being a pound for pound great but took steps behind by fighting boxers that are not in his class. He faces Peterson at 143 for a non title fight talking about he struggles to make 140 and he can't even perform at a level he should be at already. Same with Broner. They get ill advised and they suffer for it. So yes, Haymon has a lot to do with making fighters fan friendly. You think Crawford would be at his level if he didn't fight the best at his class? Keep them rusty and they stay rusty.

Crawford's fought the best in his class? He won his title off Ricky Burns who shouldn't have even had it, fought Gamboa who's not a LW and hadn't been active, Beltran was solid, and just fought Dulorme who shouldn't have been fighting for a vacant title in that division. I love Crawford and his style but let's not pretend like he's mowing through the best fighters on the planet.
If Crawford was signed to PBC and fought the same exact fighters that he's fought right now you'd be crushing him. Haymon has nothing to do with making his fighters fan friendly, but you blame him for that, nothing to do with his fighters making weight, but you've blamed him for that.

I'm not delusional at all! Gamboa was a solid opponent for Crawford, as Gamboa was winning the first few rounds easily and even hurt Crawford a couple times. Gamboa's problem has always been the fact that he drops his hands during the middle rounds and he always gets dropped because of that. And if he were to fight on PBC, he would he be fighting? And at what weight? You see, I'm talking about building fighters up, not down. That's a promoters' job.
So it definitely looks like Cotto is planning on keeping his middleweight title, trying to pay GGG step aside money. If that's so he can fight Canelo later this year that's fine I by me, as long as winner fights Golovkin.

Miguel Cotto, the middleweight champion and World Boxing Council titleholder, has a dangerous mandatory challenger in Gennady Golovkin — the consensus top fighter at 160, and a man who holds another major world title.
The WBC issued Cottp an exception, ostensibly when a bout with Canelo Alvarez was on the horizon. That’s not happening, but the WBC will still allow Cotto to face Daniel Geale on June 6 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
If Cotto wants to go on to face Canelo next without losing his world title, then they’ll need to make a deal with Golovkin’s team.
The WBC “won’t sanction the fight against Canelo unless they have our approval, because it’s clear that Gennady is the next mandatory challenger after he makes one voluntary defense,” said Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions on April 25.
Cotto’s promoter reportedly is already seeking such a deal. It hasn’t come yet.
“We’ve been approached by Roc Nation already to try to work something out with Cotto,” Loeffler said. “So it just depends on if there’s something that’s acceptable to work out. The first thing would have to be that whoever wins that fight [Cotto vs. Alvarez] would have to guarantee to fight him [Golovkin] — which so far they haven’t. The second thing, there would have to be some significant financial compensation to Gennady, because he put himself in the position to fight Rubio, and without that it wouldn’t make any sense.”
Golovkin will defend his World Boxing Association belt against Willie Monroe Jr. on May 16 in Southern California.

Looks like Huck has been replaced with "Cuban Guy" (that's what Golovkin calls Lara lol). Opponent yet to be determined.
I like Lara but I don't think he's good to headline a Spike card. I think the Spike audience wants to see brawls, don't think his style will be appreciated there. Anyways, that's the update for the day.

Lara Replaces Huck As 6/12 PBC on Spike TV Headliner

There has been a shake-up in the proposed lineup for the June 12 edition of Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions series, which airs live on Spike TV from Chicago, IL. The show will now be headlined by top-rated junior middleweight Erislandy Lara against an opponent to be determined.
Delvin Rodriguez has previously been floated as the possible foe for Lara, but merely remains in the running along with at least two other potential candidates.
The show will also feature Artur Szpilka, a local heavyweight slugger who thrilled the Chicago crowd with his two-round destruction of Ty Cobb this past Friday at the UIC Pavilion. His bout came moments after the cameras stopped rolling following the live tripleheader topped by Badou Jack’s upset win over Anthony Dirrell.
Confirmation has not yet been made as to whether Szpilka will appear on the televised portion of the June 12 card.
Marco Huck was originally scheduled top the event in what would have served as his stateside debut, but sources have informed BoxingScene.com that the cruiserweight titlist from Germany by way of Serbia will no longer appear on the card. Representatives from PBC declined comment. There has not been any indication as to whether or not his opponent - unbeaten Krzysztof Glosacki - will remain on the show.
Lara (20-2-2, 12KOs) is coming off of a 12-round points win over Ishe Smith last December in San Antonio, Texas. The slick Cuban southpaw previously came up short in a disputed split decision loss to Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in their catchweight bout last July in in Las Vegas.
