Ben Thompson and Chris Williams are the same person as far as I'm concerned.

What I'm saying is the story is BS, about Koncz stuttering and Pac "on silent mode", clearly implying they were both terrified lol. Seriously who writes shit like that? That's why I can't stomach Williams/Thompson.
That part may be BS but telling them to stop lying wasn't BS. And if you watch the vid again, you can tell it was awkward until the number was exchanged.

Yeah I'm sure he said you've been misinformed or whatever, like I said though I just have a problem with Ben Thompson "articles". He made it sound like Floyd went up to both of them and straight punked them and they shit their pants. But as we find out they talked, exchanged numbers and met up privately after and had a very good, productive meeting.

Anyways, it really does look like its going to happen. With Koncz talking to the networks the day after it seems like pretty much everything is for the most part settled and agreed upon. I think now it's just a matter of writing up the legal documents, signing and making a formal announcement.

Light heavyweight contender Edison "La Pantera" Miranda is listed as a fugitive by federal authorities, after the boxer was indicted, along with 28 others, in connection to an international drug trafficking and money laundering organization with members of the group residing in Puerto Rico, Colombia and Florida. Charges include - conspiracy to import and possess controlled substances, money laundering and international money laundering.

Miranda was one of four people who could not be located this morning when service agents from ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] made sweeping arrests with warrants in hand. There were arrests in Puerto Rico, Colombia and Florida.

The head of ICE in Puerto Rico, Angel Melendez, told El Nuevo Dia that Miranda's tasks were mostly related to money laundering transactions in connection to the proceeds from the organization's drug sales.

"His job was to bring the money back and forth," said Melendez in a press conference.

Miranda (36-10, 31 KOs), was born in Colombia but trained as a boxer mostly in Puerto Rico. Miranda's last appearance in the ring was last September 7th in Colombia, where he faced Daniel Noguera and knocked him out in the first round.

Nah, this nigga B @battle619 is the one. This man ADMITS he hates Floyd and Haymon.
Atlest he can admit it while 206 is a closet Floyd hater lol. Got Em!!

Name one writer I said sucked other than Ben Thompson? I've consistently said over the years Ben Thompson is a joke. He writes opinion pieces mainly and doesn't hide how biased he is. Being biased I can tolerate, most journalists today are in one way or another sadly, what I can't tolerate though is shitty "journalism" that is consistently inaccurate or flat out lies just to get clicks. The only time Ben Thompson is worth anything is if he has a direct quote straight from the source. Citing an unnamed source, who could be his imaginary friend for all I know, is worth nothing. Ben Thompson is literally considered a joke in the boxing world, hell Eli is even better since he provides a steady flow of video's. Your blog is even better than what Ben Thompson does.

And there is a biased Pacquiao "writer" who is the equivalent of Ben Thompson but Filipino. That would be ronnie nathanielz. Anytime I see anything from that shill I automatically dismiss it as soon as I see his name. You can always spot a Ronnie article because he always opens with something ridiculous like "Fighter of the Decade Pound 4 Pound King Congressman Manny Pacquiao...". That's what these guys are, they are shills. Fighthype aka Floydhype is the only place Mayweather and his team release info to because they are shills, they are on the payroll. Same goes for Ronnie and the "Pacland" website or whatever the fuck it's called. You simply can't trust sources like that.
Heresy already said it. That dude Chris. And no he and Ben are not the same so you got proven wrong. Got Em!!

So according to the article, Koncz approached Floyd first so who's to say Floyd had any plans on approaching Manny? Anyways, the part that really got me about that article is Koncz won't mention anything about the convo until a few days or so, so Manny seems to be serious about his deadline. We'll just have to wait til Sunday during the SuperBowl. This has to have been set up by Haymon to help promote his PBC Series as well. I'm actually thinking it's gonna happen

Goddamn it battle, why does everything have to be a set up? So Al Haymon had Manny and Koncz do something against Arum's wishes? Think about what you're saying here. Al Haymon set all of this up? Floyd was already in the area, Manny couldn't leave because flights were grounded.

What difference does Koncz approaching Floyd makes? He approached, got told to stop lying and then went to his room later to work out the deal. Komcz and Pac saidmFloyd wants the fight, so if they got the work done and met up, Pac needs to adjust his deadline due to progress being made.

photo: manny pacquiao floyd mayweather jr By Simon Sheppard: Many boxing fans underestimate the smartness of Floyd Mayweather Jr. It is a given, a constant that he is smart in the ring, but many people fail to realize how smart he is outside of the squared circle. Everything he does is planned and calculated. He has a response for everything, and as in the ring he can can make himself look good in the worst of situations.

Legacy don’t pay no bills
I remember an episode where Antonio Margarito, then the most feared fighter in the division walked up to Floyd, face to face, and said in his non fluent English “I want to fight you, let’s make it happen”.

To which Floyd replied “Look, I’m a businessman, and I only do fights if they make business sense”, His way of saying, nope, you’re too dangerous a fighter for me, so no go. Margarito being a cheater is a moot point since nobody knew then at the time, so the argument, “he was a cheater” holds no water and is another lame excuse for his fans.
So yes, Floyd may have made the right decision in not facing Margarito, but that is beside the point.

When Miguel Cotto was destroying every fighter he faced, he was asked why not fight Miguel? Floyd – “his name (Miguel Cotto) is not big enough, his fan base is not big enough” I mean, seriously? Like the whole of Puerto Rico is not big enough?

Or that video where he was asked – “So if you are so sure, so positive you can beat Pacquiao, why not fight him”
To which Floyd angrily replied -“look, my health is important, will you take care of my family after my career is over? See? I don’t hink so. Legacy don’t pay no bills”

Planned and calculated encounter
Now in the latest episode of this drama between the two fighters, Floyd knew Pacquiao would be at the game. he planned the meeting all along. But first, he donned a hoodie with the Philippine flag on his chest. Yep, the devil is in the details. Since there were only three persons present at the encounter, nobody can really say what was said, “reliable witnesses” notwithstanding.

A matter of perspective
As for the concept of “Loyd walked over to Pacquiao”, some people really need to do some research, widen their horizons and venture out of the “American mindset” once in a while. It will do them a world of good to do so.

To us, Floyd walking to Pacquiao was something positive, we see him as one who have the guts to walk up to Pacquiao.
Oh but we’re forgetting one small detail, Pacquiao is not an American. To him, to his people, he was seen as someone who stood his ground. Sort of like “I won’t concede in making the first step, I won’t go to you, therefore you come to me”

See the point?
And he walked over to Pacquiao wearing the man’s national flag on his chest.

But if the design is a new logo for his TMT brand line of apparels, then it sure as heck a funny coincidence in that the logo, the triangle and the colors, strongly ressemles the national flag of Manny Pacquiao.

The devil is in the details.

photo: manny pacquiao floyd mayweather jr By Vincent C. “Power VCT” Thomas, Sr: It is apparent that Floyd Mayweather, Jr. has all eyes and ears on him only! Recently we seen video that Floyd Mayweather, Jr (47-0, 26 KOs)) walked over to Manny Pacquiao 57(38)-5(3)-2 and Michael Koncz and emotionally told both of them to “stop lying” to the public about the false contract, according to an unnamed source that told Fighthype.com about what Mayweather had said.

Pacman and Koncz both stood at attention and listened to each and every word Mayweather stated. During this brief conversation, it is evident that Mayweather marches to the beat of his own drum while in total control and since Koncz and Manny never even tried to interrupt the statements of Mayweather; that alone spoke volumes to the boxing world. Pacquiao and Koncz both appeared to be a bit taken back by and looked worried.

Last week it was reported by several sports media outlets that Mayweather was holding up the contract by not signing but recently it appears that Koncz verified that no contract ever existed by saying “I looked deep into Floyd eyes and I could tell he was serious about making this fight happen” [sic]. Now we have to say the ploys of stating that Mayweather was holding up of the signing of the contract looks to be totally false. It would have made perfect sense for Arum to boast about Pacman’s signature with details but he didn’t. Arum continued to flame the rumors blaming Mayweather and Floyd buried those rumors by chiding Manny and Koncz together.

What we aren’t hearing now is anyone saying it’s Mayweather holding up anything since his personal stance recently while it does not look good for Manny to appear desperate for a fight with Mayweather since he still has unfinished business with Timothy Bradley 31(12)-1-1, whom clearly out-boxed Manny in there first meeting but lost his game plan in the rematch, and Juan Manuel Marquez 56(40) 7-1 whom connected against Pacquiao with a brutal right hand sending him face down to the canvas for over three additional minutes before Pacman gain conscience of where he was.

Now we are back to the self imposed deadline for Mayweather given by Pacquiao which didn’t work when tried before with Amir Khan 30(19)-3(2)-0, whom by the way is being rumored to also face Manny next, so this may be the ploy to verify Arum never really wanted to fight Mayweather at all. Giving this deadline will never work against Mayweather when so many other boxers would be more than willing to earn there shot at a nice paycheck or fight lottery. We have already witness Mayweather outsmart Arum on many occasions so once again, it looks as Pacquiao could end up fighting Amir Khan as rumored or another super light weight fighter in Jessie Vargas.

If or when Mayweather versus Pacquiao ever happens, I believe, along with many boxing pundits, that Floyd would win easily by unanimous decision. I can see Manny starting out fast and throwing combinations that will be blocked by the arms of Mayweather while each time Pacquiao throws a non-connecting punch the audience will go crazy. These fast punches will only last for about three rounds because Floyd will allow Manny to get comfortable reaching in and then Mayweather will start picking Manny apart since Pacquiao has never been a defensive minded boxer.

It is also possible by round (8) or (9) Manny’s eyes are so swollen he can’t see and the referee possibly stops the fight ending in a TKO given Mayweather the invincibility that he has earned inside the ropes. If this assessment is true then Pacquiao will have options to either go down to 140 pounds as his trainer Freddie Roach has previously indicated that Manny will gain KO power or Manny will retire defeated and continue politics in his country of the Philippines.

Either way since Floyd “Money” Mayweather finally “SPOKE UP”, he killed the critics noise whom were only pointing fingers and blaming him for holding up this overdue boxing match.
