If it is Canelo vs Cotto, make it in Vegas. Its not a catchweight fight so it would be interesting to watch Canelo 100% against Cotto. If Canelo does KO cotto like CZAR @CZAR says. then its obvious the weight was an issue for the Mayweather fight. But I would prefer Cotto to go up against Martinez and if Cotto is to win that one, then a lot more interest would come about from people wanting to fight Cotto. How in the hell is he hotter than Manny that's my question? Is Manny more feared now?

Lol. Weight hurt poor Canelo so much in his fight with Mayweather. Maybe next time the red headed fuck boy wont open his mouth acting like a boss, talking about how hes not fighting on the undercard anymore. I think Canelo know his place now when addressing Mayweather. No one give a fuck about Manny if you are not a Top Rank fighter. Almost all of GBP 147 fighters would put a beating on Manny no one fears that clown Manny. Plus Bradley will beat his ass in a rematch if it happens.

LMAO!!! What does Canelo ko'ing Cotto have to do with Mayweather???? No one has ever come close to ko'ing Mayweather and Cotto is nowhere near the fighter Mayweather is especially defensively. Canelo couldnt ko Mayweather because he couldnt hit him just as he said in his post fight interview. Canelo never mentioned weight like most of these other clowns and he gets props for that. Cotto will get ko'd because Canelo will be able to hit him square on and Cotto wont be able to take it for 12 rounds. This is just more hate coming from Mayweather's biggest hater lol. Got Em!!

Lol. So Mr. Avoided GGG is fighting another Euro bum in Adama on 2/1/14. So for 2 years you make sure you have a bum fight lined up while all the champions fight rated guys, then after your bum fight, you act like you want to fight all the other champions but really you already have another bum fight lined up. Lol. And people actually praise this fuck shit. But yet Devon Alexander a guy that fights nothing but rated fighters and killers (Bradley, Lucas, Maidana, and Bailey) get no respect. Todays boxing fans are too funny.

But but its a stay busy fight for GGG? This guy has been fighting stay busy fights for 2yrs already.

It's either that or not fight at all for another 4-5 months. Martinez, Murray, Barker, Geale, Sturm are not available and obviously he can't fight Quillin so what is wrong with a stay busy fight in the meantime? Lol you hate on GGG for no reason he's fighting four times a year not once a year like Sergio. Plus it's not on HBO so no money is wasted. K2 is building Monte Carlo as a boxing city it's good for the sport there to showcase talent.

Also the plan was to fight Martin Murray on that date but his promoter, Ricky Hatton, ended up turning it down.

CZAR @CZAR what the fuck are you talking about Canelo not mentioning weight, that's why he got pissed off during interviews and All Access! You are saying Canelo KO's Cotto, but Floyd didn't KO Cotto. Im saying if Canelo does KO Cotto, then weight would obviously make him stronger. Would you rather be 2 lbs stronger or 2 lbs weaker? If you meet the weight requirement sooner, would you rather practice your craft more or work on loosing weight? 2 lbs stronger makes Manny want to take PEDs to be able to KO fools out, right B @bigface ?

Dude what the fuck are u talking about? Again Mayweather vs Cotto has nuthin to do with Canelo vs Cotto. Mayweather is not a knockout artist with a big punch. No one has ever came close to ko'ing Mayweather. So u are telling me that if Canelo was 2 pounds bigger he wouldve ko'd Floyd????? Hhahahaahhah. Stop it dude. Also when I said Canelo didnt bring up weight being an issue is after the fight during the post fight interview. He told the truth without any excuses and gave it up for Floyd. Canelo wasnt drained in anyway. He Also didnt wine about it on All Access. He was upset that Mayweather called them idiots. U are killing me with this hate and trying to find any excuse to discredit Floyd. Canelo will ko Cotto if they fight whether its at 152 or 154. Stop with the 2 pound shit and stop with comparing one fight to another fight. Thats now how it works. Got Em!!

MARCOS MAIDANA SAYS ADRIEN BRONER IS NOT A SLICK BOXER; VOWS TO TEST HIM
By Ben Thompson | December 04, 2013

"Yeah, maybe you're right, in the past, I had a few problems with slick boxers, but I don't think Broner is such a slick boxer. He's talented, but I'm prepared well. I had great sparring partners. This time, I made adjustments and I will make sure that Adrien respects me in the ring," stated former jr. welterweight champion Marcos Maidana, who talked about his upcoming December 14 clash with undefeated WBA welterweight champion Adrien Broner. Although this will be Broner's second fight at welterweight, Maidana plans on being the first to show him what it's like to face a naturally bigger 147-pound fighter.

"I would say he's now an established welterweight. He physically is a welterweight now, no doubt about it," Maidana explained during a conference call when asked if he believed that Broner, who still currently holds the WBC lightweight title, is physically big enough to compete against some of the stronger fighters in the welterweight division. "The only problem is he has not been tested by a natural welterweight like me. That's why this is the hardest fight of his life."

CZAR @CZAR its funny how fat fucks like you think losing 2lbs ain't shit. If that was the case they wouldn't have made him lose 2 lbs. I never said he would have KO'd Floyd cuz he didn't even KO a old slob like Mosley, but maybe those punches would have hurt Floyd even more to where he would have clinched even more or not even dare to stand in front of him which can affect scorecards..l

So was Cotto drained against Manny at 145?
Was Margarito drained at 150lb?
Was Oscar drained at 147lb a division he didnt fight in for 7 years?

Stop making excuses for Canelo he was 165lb on fight night far from drained. Oscar was 147lb on fight and was a dead man walking, i dont hear you discrediting Mannys fights.

Keep on hating hater.

All i ever hear is excuses about dude fighting bums. GGG should move up like a real warrior Paul Williams. Ward is waiting for GGG at 168lb all he has to do is call him out. But we all know GGG wont more euro bum for him. 7 years at 160lb and only fought one top ten rated guy. Lol. Broner's second fight at 147lb and this is his second fight against a top 10 rated 147lber in a year, but Broner is overrated and GGG is the real deal. Lol. The new age boxing fans are too funny.

B @bigface I agree with you on those first questions, there is no denying that. So in essence you agree with me too? Just ask any pro fighter if Canelo was drained out or not and they would say yes. It doesn't matter what they come in weighing at fight night cuz their bodies are already tired

Manny Pacquiao vs Brandon Rios PPV buys: Disastrous

Written by Lee Cleveland
Dec 04, 2013

After two straight losses, fight legend Manny "PacMan" Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KOs) dominated rising upstart Brandon Rios (31-2-1, 23 KOs), winning an impressive, lopsided twelve round decision, culminating an historic fight card in Macau, China on November 23rd.

But Pacquiao vs Rios, now, may be more remembered for something else.

Mannix tweeted earlier today:

"Bob Arum tells SI that Pacquiao-Rios pay per view numbers are somewhere between 500,000 and 550,000."

This is bad news for Top Rank, Team Pacquiao and the sport in general.

There was no mention of the Pacquiao vs Rios PPV buyrate in China but nothing can salvage this.

Either the event was promoted poorly or Pacquiao, one of boxing's two biggest stars, is losing his proverbial 'juice' ... fast.

PacMan, who dazzled inside the ring and gave what was arguably one of his top 10 performances, was guaranteed $18 million USD plus a portion of the PPV revenue.

It was believed the Filipino superstar could leave Macau having earned upwards of $30 million for his services. But rest-assured, he probably won't receive a sum remotely close to that.

Moreover, this disappointing number (which should be viewed as tragedy for the sport itself) gives PacMan rival Floyd Mayweather even more leverage in Mayweather vs Pacquiao negotiations.

The Mayweather vs Canelo bout in September eclipsed two million buys and set a new revenue record in the U.S. There were roughly four times as many purchases for that fight as there were for Pacquiao vs Rios and the former was the more expensive of the two.

Even Mayweather vs Guerrero in May, deemed a PPV failure, generated over 870,000 buys, still an estimated 40 percent more than Pacquiao vs Rios.

Don't be surprised if Mayweather demands a 75-25 revenue split should negotiations get that far.

There was no mention of the Pacquiao vs Rios PPV buyrate in China.

How does the estimated 500,000 to 555,000 buyrate compare with other bouts?

*While the PPV events headlined by Marquez and Martinez PPV generated lower numbers, those fighters are not nearly as mainstream as Manny Pacquiao nor are they paid nearly as well. In actuality, both endeavors were considered PPV successes.

Mayweather vs Canelo - 2.1 million
September 2013
Marquez vs Bradley - 3.75 million
October 2013
Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 - 1.15 million
December 2013
Martinez vs Chavez Jr - 475,000
September 2012
Pacquiao vs Bradley 900,000
June 2012
Mayweather vs Cotto - 1.5 million
May 2012
Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 - 1.4 million
November 2011
Mayweather vs Ortiz - 1.25 million
September 2011
Pacquiao vs Margarito - 1.15 million
November 2010

50 Cent Twitter rant: Mikey Garcia vs. Yuriorkis Gamboa
After capturing his second division title by knocking out Roman 'Rocky' Martinez (27-2, 16 KO's) last month, Mikey Garcia (33-0, 28 KO's) was asked about a potential fight against interim WBA Lightweight Champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (23-0, 16 KO's).
(Image courtesy of Round by Round Boxing)
"I'm willing to go up and meet him at 135 if he doesn't want to come down. I think it would be a great fight."

"People would want to see it. Why not? Let's do it. I think anybody they put in front of me, I'm ready to fight."

Mikey Garcia obtained the WBO Super Featherweight Championship in his debut at the new 130 pound weight limit and is slated to make his first title defense January 25th. His opponent will likely be Juan Carlos Burgos (30-1-2, 20 KOs).

The tentative selection of Burgos seems to have troubled rapper and boxing promoter Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson, Gamboa's promoter, who took to Twitter to express his view of Mikey's next opponent.

Mayweather vs. Khan Reportedly is a Done Deal
by Robert Littal | Posted on Wednesday, December 4th, 2013

Amir_Khan_vs_Carlos_Molina

Here is the thing, we can all complain and moan about it or we can just pray that Khan makes the fight competitive and in boxing you never know what can happen.

Saying Khan would be a huge underdog would be an understatement, but if this is the fight that is announced we are going to have to find some ways that Khan could pull the upset. He is a little bit of a different fighter than Floyd has been dealing with. He’s a lot smaller and faster (also with a glass jaw).

Caught up with A @amir KingKhan in NYC today. Could only smile when asked about Mayweather. Said he would love the fight.

— Chris Mannix ( C @chrism annixSI) December 4, 2013

Still, I'm told Mayweather-Khan is a done deal. A U.S. fight. Announcement could come as early as next week.

— Chris Mannix ( C @chrism annixSI) December 4, 2013

Speed fighters have given Mayweather some small issues in the past, but we are splitting hairs, since Mayweather hasn’t had many issues with any fighters over the years.

One thing we know is the Brits will drink and be merry.

No Canelo was far from drained and actually looked very good and didnt look nearly as tired as he had in past fights. U still just hatin like a lil bitch and pissed cause Floyd is the greatest of all time!!!! Deal with it mark! Canelo aint knockin out shit but got his ass kicked! Got Em!!
