Raheem's 3rd fight in Tacoma. Halquist is the local boxing promoter here for most all of the fights at Emerald Queen Casino. Shit if it's on ESPN I might go, get front row tickets which are only like $150 just so I can hold up a sign that says SICC MOBB
I would settle for a "Ring Card Girl Arreolas Breh" sign

Perth-trained boxing star Chris John has announced his retirement two weeks after suffering the first loss in his 52-fight career.

The 34-year-old Indonesian, who trained under Craig Christian in Balcatta and Jakarta, made the announcement yesterday.

Kovalev Mocks Stevenson: "Call Me Kryptonite Kovalev"
Click Here To Email Printable version Search BoxingScene Database*

By Ryan Burton

WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (23-0-1, 21KOs) continues to hold out hope that he will be able to unify titles with WBC light heavyweight champion Andonis Stevenson.

The two fighters fought on the same card on November 30th in Quebec City, Canada. Kovalev stopped Ismayl Sillakh in two rounds while Stevenson stopped Tony Bellew in six. Kovalev fought in the co-featured fight and said that he made a point to watch Stevenson's fight which immediately followed.*

"He did a good job but I didn't see anything special. He calls himself Superman," Kovalev said with a smile.

Kovalev's manager Egis Klimas said that effective immediately they have a new nickname for Kovalev.

"We are changing Sergey's nickname. Instead of Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev it is going to be Sergey "Kryptonite" Kovalev," Klimas told BoxingScene.com.

Klimas also said that Kovalev will remain inn the light heavyweight division for the foreseeable future. He said Kovalev doesn't have any problems making weight so there is no reason to move up.

"I am comfortable at 175. I make the weight easy," Kovalev stated.*

"He will fight any cruiserweight at 175 though," Klimas chimed in.*

Mayweather: Broner should have let his team cherry pick

"He has the best management team in the world because at one time they picked the right opponent in paulie malignaggi. He's not a big puncher whereas Maidana is a big puncher so his management team didn't feel like Paulie was really a threat. The paulie fight was chosen by his management team. The Maidana fight was chosen by adrien himself. He should have continued to let his management team pick his fights"

I would love for Rigo to move up to at least 130 to see if his skill set would still maintain cuz what he does in the ring is amazing. I see him at #4 the most but if he's to go up to 130 I would rank him at 2 or 3 even. He doesn't get hit for shit

It's weird to see a HW in P4P rankings but it's really hard to disagree. Gonzalez still isn't getting any love. He's only on one of those lists which sucks. He's small though so it's not horribly surprising I guess. I think Sergio Martinez is still too high. He's gonna hang a L, if not 2 this year if he jumps back in to a big fight.

I don't see how anyone couldn't have him #3. He's clearly the best PURE BOXER the sport has seen in many years. Problem for him is most "fans" these days don't appreciate the fine skills of boxing.

This is why he will be #1 someday, but as of today i dont place him @ #3. @130 against top comp. yes he could be top three.
