so which catchweight fight against an old man did pacquiao have again? Only catchweight fight he had was against Cotto, one whole pound less than what cotto previously weighed in at.

His upcoming fight against marquez is at a catchweight, which was a request of Marquez not pacquiao. Same weight as he did against mayweather, which floyd didn't even bother to make weight in.
oh 206 ur gay love for manny is admirable!!!

Mayweather says he’ll fight Pacquiao next if he follows his drug testing program

By Chris Williams: If Manny Pacquiao really wants to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. all he has to do is go along with Mayweather’s drug testing program wishes and Mayweather says he’ll fight the Filipino star next. But the big question is whether Pacquiao will follow the drug testing that Mayweather wants.

Speaking with the Los Angeles Times, Mayweather said this about whether he would fight Pacquiao if he followed the drug testing program that he wants “Absolutely. Write that word down 10 times in a row. I absolutely want the fight.”

Mayweather is asking for the USADA to be the testing agency, not some other agency and labs in the Philippines. Also, Mayweather wants Pacquiao to stay in the U.S during his training camp so that he can tested all during the camp by the USADA. Pacquiao usually spends a considerable amount of time training in the Philippines and comes over for the last part of his training camp to train at the Wild Card gym in Los Angeles, California. Pacquiao training in the Philippines would make it necessary for another drug testing agency, the WADA, to be the one that oversees the testing. This isn’t what Mayweather wants.

This sounds like something that would be easy to fix, but I don’t think it will be. Pacquiao and his promoter Bob Arum might not like the idea of training in the U.S exclusively just to appease Mayweather. If they’re not interested in doing that, then we don’t have a fight. Mayweather isn’t comfortable about having another agency do the testing and I don’t blame him. I would be uncomfortable as well.

man, this chris williams guy just is clueless. WADA overlooks USADA. USADA does testing in America. If Pacquiao trains mostly in the Philippines, OBVIOUSLY the USADA can't do the testing over there, it would have to be another WADA approved agency. When pacquiao comes to America and trains and the Wild Card gym in California for the 2-3 weeks prior to the fight, then USADA can test him.

If floyd demands that pacquiao must train in america that is one of the most absurd demands in the history of the sport. But Floyd never said that. His daddy said he should or whatever, but Floyd jr. never said that so again, Chris Williams needs to STFU and get his facts straight.

Alfredo Angulo Back With A Bang, Destroys Overmatched Joseph Gomez Inside A Round -

Alfredo Angulo Back With A Bang, Destroys Overmatched Joseph Gomez Inside A Round - Martirosyan Next?

By James Slater: Last night in Mexico, light-middleweight contender Alfredo Angulo made a successful return to the ring after having been forced to remain idle for 13-months. “El Perro” (“The Dog”, as the 29-year-old is known, mauled Joseph Gomez, halting him with ease inside the very first-round.

A one-two to the body followed by a right hand to the top of the head decked Gomez, who never came close to beating the count. The time was one-minute and 24 seconds. Angulo is now 20-1(17). 26-year-old Gomez falls to 17-5-1(8).

As fans probably know, Angulo has been out of action due to promotional and visa issues. Splitting with Gary Shaw, Angulo was unable to get a visa to fight in the U.S. Now signed up with Golden Boy, it is to be hoped the exciting power puncher who has been beaten only by Kermit Cintron (on points back in May of 2009) will be able to fight in America once again.

Various internet reports say the World Boxing Council (WBC) will see to it that Angulo will next meet Vanes Martirosyan, in a final eliminator for a shot at WBC 154-pound champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. Needless to say, if Angulo can achieve victory in those two fights he will have achieved the success many people feel he is capable of.

Now trained by the legendary Nacho Beristan, “El Perro” is in good hands. But will Golden Boy want to risk matching their new star, Alvarez, with such a dangerous and hungry contender? The word is it will be the unbeaten Martirosyan next though.

At 30-0(19), the 25-year-old Armenian-born “Nightmare,” as Vanes is known, is some hot ticket himself. Last time out be beat Saul Roman, picking up the Silver WBC 154-pound strap with the stoppage win, and Martirosyan would be some tough fight for Angulo - especially if it does happen next; what with Angulo still likely rusty from his layoff.

There are some potentially exciting times for the 154-pound division, and the return of Angulo has only made things more spicy. Angulo already holds good wins over the likes of Joel Julio, Joachim Alicine and Harry Joe Yorgey (all KO’s) and his enforced layoff has only made him determined to score more brutal stoppages. A fight between he and “Canelo” would be massive; in Mexico or the U.S.

Montiel wants rematch with Donaire

By Chris Williams: Fernando Montiel (46-3-2, 36 KO’s) defeated Alvaro Perez (21-4-1, 12 KO’s) by a third round KO on Saturday night at the La Cetto Vineyard, in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. It was a good win but a weak opponent for the 32-year-old Montiel.

However, instead of saying he wants to slowly his way back to the top, Montiel immediately called out Nonito Donaire afterwards, saying he wants to go after a 4th world title in a rematch against Donaire. Montiel was destroyed by Donaire last February in a 2nd round knockout. I don’t think too many boxing fans want to see Montiel and Donaire mixing it up again any time soon, especially with Montiel’s two wins since then over little known fighters.

If Montiel wants a rematch with Donaire, he’s going to have to go about it in a more convincing way by at least taking on some top five opposition or perhaps the WBA bantamweight champion Anselmo Moreno. Without any credible wins to back him up, Montiel is kind of wasting his time by calling out Donaire. He wasn’t just beaten by Donaire last February, he was totally destroyed in a one-sided fight.

Montiel was never evens lightly competitive in the two rounds of action. He just looked too short, weak and slow to do much against Donaire. I can see maybe Donaire’s promoters making the Donaire-Montiel rematch for the money it could potentially generate but I think it’s a bad product to serve up to boxing fans. It’ll be another mismatch and fans won’t see a good fight. I think Donaire has better things to do than to go backwards with his career to destroy this guy again.
