Boxer vs UFC fighter?

Depends on the fighter.. I think Liddell would have trouble with Boxers just because I'm sure many boxers punch harder and that's Liddell's game.. He's not gonna take the boxer to the ground.. But, somebody like Couture would own pretty much any boxer.. Boxer's wouldn't know what to do when they hit there back in a takedown.
Anyway to get back to the topic, if it's without cluves I think the boxer would make a pretty good change.. Can you imagine getting a snap against your jaw from a boxer? I wouldn't want to expierence that... I think mine would fly of..
I think some boxers are capable knoking out a cow with one clean punch.. let alone a ufc fighter if they would have a clean shot at his face or ribs or something

That's what I was thinking too, someone who's typically a striker like Liddell might have problems against a boxer, since they prefer to fight on their feet and they don't usually go to the ground that often. But someone who prefers to grapple and use takedowns and submission holds, would defenitely have an advantage against a boxer in a street fight. But then again how often do people use submission holds in a street fight? lol something to think about...

i'm sure liddell would NOT fight tyson standin up. mma fighters are all TRAINED fighters on tha ground and standin up. liddell might not be THAT good on tha ground, but i'm sure he knows a couple submissions to fucc tyson up. think about it, how many STREET fights STAY on their feet? its hard to keep a fight standin up. i put my money on liddell.
alot uv yall keep sayin, well if tha boxer trained for tha ground and shit like that, but thats tha whole purpose of tha initial threads question. meaning this: my little brother can whoop my ass if he trained in mma. so with that being said: taking a BOXERS fighting skills vs a MMA'S skills, tha mma would come out on top (depending on weight class). fold.

IMO even if the boxer had a couple months of ground training (which is not a lot) he would still lose on your feet a boxer knows how to fight in a boxing match and protect from jabs,uppercuts,hooks and so on but not from kicks,knees,elbows and what not and also a boxer is not trained to protect his lower body its not like it hasen't happened either years ago people with boxing experience have tried to fight in the ufc and the ones I've seen did not do so well but now days ufc's level of experience in there fighters is so high a plain boxer I could'nt see standing a chance.
if a ufc fighter tries to go 12 rounds toe to toe with a boxer, he will not be able to keep up with a boxer, thats what boxers train to do. same thing the other way around. if a boxer is taken down, hell catch a few elbows to the face, game over. in street fights, ive seen boxers get fucked up. but i dont think that applies to mike tyson. have yall seen him in person? that boy is solid. sad to see him go down the drain.
