likwid...it's nothing like that......but an all-star swinging the bat a few times homerun derby...thats not too much to expect from the soon to be "homerrun king"

and just because they're not on his "level" they should participate??

fuck that....that shows whats wrong in sports right there....the big stars think they are bigger than the game....no one is!

Dubbc...I most certainly think they both play a factor in his decision, but like I said before...he doesn't have to go out there swinging for the fneces hard as can be 50 times...take a few first round swings.......hit a couple out...show you appreciate the San Fran fans, because noone else in the league does!

Im glad Bonds is a giant, he may be an asshole, but at least hes on my team. Better than if he as on the fuckin dodgers, or anyone for that matter. Honestly the Giants are done this year though, so he should do the derby and tear shit up.

LOL exactly what I'm thinkin. And him trying to break the Homerun record is a joke, he wouldn't even be that close if it weren't for his "Protein drink."

Wah! Wah! People thought Hank Aaron breaking it was bad, too, because he played too many season and because he was black.

Bonds would've shattered the record if he would get pitched to by now.. and that's even without steroids.

But, on the homerun derby front, I thought he should compete in it, just because it'd give someone for the hometown fans to root for.. Not sure if the Giants ended up getting anybody else in it or not, but I thought he should've done it for that.

But I'm not upset about it because I'm not a big Bonds fan or anything.
