Blutarski(on Lunicoleone.com):
Overall this is a weak album. Poor beats from Big Hollis that spoil almost every track that Luni comes hard on. The features were good, but even they can't save it. Luni needs to wake up and realize that his newer harder style doesn't fit with Hollis' R&B style beats. Don't pick this one up or you'll be wasting your money

Dude I love 2 Sicc Reviews, but man you aint on point with this 1. Luni comes hard as fuc on those "r&B" tracks, dude its perfect. biggie made a fortune off that shit. He had mostly r&b beats with a couple of hard songs. I mean I understand 3 stars maybe but man a 1 star rating. Dude love your shit but i think your slipping

The CD isnt that great in my opinion. Im a Luni fan but this isnt nearly as hard as his older stuff. Total Recall and ITMOM were somewhat better.

track 5 "Cant Fucc Wit Us" is the best track by FAR in my opinion. I love that shit.

I think the CD should have been a 2.5 - 3 out of 5.

But i also think that Blutarski has never been too much of a Luni Fan. Both ITMOM and How The West Was Won, neither of em received over 3 stars.

But its all good, everyone has opinions, and Blut's are almost always right on!

I don't want to get all defensive, but I'll just say why I said what I said. I do respect all your opinions too cause music is music and it's all in the ear of the beholder.

1) I am a Luni fan to the fullest, but I think that his hard style deserves a hard beat and some hard production, not R&B. It would be coo if he was Lunasicc style and had R&B.

2) Big Hollis = repetetive. Heard the same shit from him over and over again and it really gets old fast, especially since he's produced at least one track on about 50% of the newest releases.

3) I wish that this CD was better, I really do. Luni is one of my favorite artists, but when he comes out with a weak CD like this I can't lie just cause I like him.

4) Luni did come hard on the mic on this one, but everything else worked against him so much it got lost in the mix.

Those are my opinions, I respect how everyone feels and I'm not knoccin Luni. If you go pick it up and say it's tight, then that's you, but if someone goes and gets it and says it's weak, don't blame me cause I said so.

Sorry if I went out on a rant.

the more hollis tries to come with some different shit with his beats, the more people say he's repetitive...which lunicoleone.com album are you listening to?? LIKE THE SAC-A-INDO album, hollis' beats on lunicoleone.com are DIFFERENT from his usual shit. YES, they have that signature hollis sound to them (similar sounds and effects) but the addition of live instruments and samples make the beats FRESH and INNOVATIVE compared to his older work. do you automatically assume his production is going to be repetative or do you just classify having a signature sound as being repetative?

After hearing what everyone had to say about this album I thought I'd go out and get some opinions from some of my friends about the album. One of my friends said it was the best Luni Coleone album he'd heard so far and the other said he was glad I bought it and let him borrow it cause he'd never waste his money. Nobody can be totally right about everything he or she does, but it's even harder to say what's right and wrong when it comes to personal opinion. I try to say how I felt about the album and let others go from there. It's actually good that others responded to this thread because if everyone took what I said to be true all the time then maybe they might pass on an album they might like a lot. It all come down to personal preference.

Thanx to all who replied to this thread, it helps me to make my reviews even better as I go along.

BLuntarski,

Good opinion! I think the point of this post was to make it into a discussion.

Personally, the first time I heard the album I was depressed. The second time I heard it I was still depressed. I wish Luni woulda got some better beats, I think he coulda came a little harder.
