Somebody on here that knows both places well and that (preferably) is black, compare and contrast the black communities / black experience of Seattle & Portland. I've always wondered this, how the two cities are similar or different in this regard.
If black people and white people can't get along in the Northwest, they won't get along anywhere (tipping point theory states relations will be the smoothest where the distribution of the two groups is the most lop-sided, we're the whitest & least black urbanized area of the United States).
