I was just about to post about this. This EP is really dope, one of the best of the year. I was sleeping on Danny Brown mostly because of his gay ass haircut. I thought he was on some emo rap bs, but this shit goes hard...

I didn't like XXX much on the first listen but I checked it out here and there a few times and it really started to grow on me a lot. I think it was mostly getting used to Danny's voice at points. I was feeling this more or less all the way through on first time around though, good shit.

Good luck to them but...

once again its the wrong nigga repping Detroit on the rap scene. 1st its a white boy but EMINEM has proven he's worthy. Now you got BIG SEAN (no good) and DANNY BROWN (all bad). I promise yall that they represent a very small portion of the community. I was born and raised in the D and I could never imagine that this would be our mainstream representation.

Yeah I checked out the songs on soundcoud and I cant get past how danny sounds to get into it, some of the beats werent clicking with me either tho.

It's all opinions and everyone has them, I think this album is dope though. I'm always open to check out new artists/music so who would you say are some of the "right" people repping Detroit I could check out? Thanks in advance.

Is this an official project? To me this looks, and sounds like someone took some instrumentals and tried to mix something at home. It doesn't sound quality at all, not even on some gritty, street-album type of shit. I'm usually a fan of Black Milk's production (and his rapping), but Danny Brown sounds weak, IMO.

It's an official project. If you only listened to it on soundcloud they usally stream at a pretty low quality from what I've heard before. The one I found on the net for download sounds fine on my speakers at home.

For those who say they don't like his voice, he doesn't rap in that high register on every track he makes, at least he didn't on the XXX mixtape, & those were the songs I liked the most;nosebleed, party all the time, DNA. I prefer the storytelling & the introspection over that shock rap type tracks. Still prefer guilty Simpson & elzhi, but Danny Brown's a close 3rd. I'm a black milk fan too, so I have to get this ep.

All of them are cool but I'm really not a GUILTY SIMPSON fan. He put out a wack solo album the last time and on that RANDOM AXE cd he don't really stand out.

If you can find K DEEZY-STUCK IN MY WAYS and K DEEZY-THE ROLL MODEL mixtape. You won't be disappointed!!! Check under the name K DOE.

Plus yall have to remember that DETROIT is the HATER CAPITOL of the WORLD!!!. It's extremely hard to be successful in the D cause of the negativity. Ask anyone from there. DETROITs population is at least 80% black and most of the top athletes and entertainers never blossom because they get caught up in hood shit. Real talk. We have so many smart niggas who fell into the trap
