to say religion in general is the cause of all this evil that goes on in the world is not completely fair. its the combination of manipulative greedy people supported by ignorant people. because with most religions, if they were actually practiced by self actualized people (self actualization being the essential goal of all religions) then all these people wouldn't actually allow or support all these evil things that happen in the name of god. the problem is that religion is a very powerful tool, and most people just don't know how to handle it. not religion's fault...collective man's. and yes man did create religion, but not with the intention of it to turn out the way it did. if not twisted, manipulated, and used for power attainment, hinduism, buddhism, jainism, sikhism, taoism, shintoism, and even the western more dogmatic and apocalyptic religions can be beautiful practices to study and incorporate to one's life. one just has to have the right intentions and be consciously stable enough to handle such simple yet powerful messages

i dont know if id consider myself religious though, cause i dont adhere to any one religion...i just think theyre all insightful philosophies to help one find some type of inner enlightenment
