Both teams made big moves in the offseason to get some great pitching, yet both are at least 6 games out of first in their division. Of the two, who do y'all think was the bigger disappointment?

We're not really a dissapointment, half of our fuckin rosters been on the DL all year and we're still in 2nd in the central and the wild card... Orioles are the biggest overrall

Orioles? Thats a laugh i mean did u honestly expect them to beat out bo sox or the yanks? No its the cubs and astros that are the dissapointments so far. Your 7 games out of first and 2 games out of the wild card.

neither of them are really disappointments. i mean for the Cubs Prior and Wood have been on the DL for quite a bit of time.

and for the BoSox Nomar Garciaparra missed almost the entire first half as did Trot Nixon

personally i think them being in second is a good sign

definitely the red sox. their lineup is stacked and they should have better pitching than the yankees. I thought everyone who picked the cubs to win were idiots anyways.

Cubs just had it rough losing the 1st half of their rotation to injury, so in that sense it's a disapointment. As far as the bosox, shit, until they can slay the NY beast, and finally get over the bambino...how about them patriots!

Cubs have been hurt, Wood Prior sosa Grudzalanik(sp) Hollandsworth now Aramis. I mean with there top 3 players missing over a month each, you cant expect them to be in first. 2nd place 7 games back is not bad at all. 2nd half of the season will be different, if we can stay healthy. Wood looked good last night in his return so thats a positive sign. Just be patient.

were still only at the half point of the season in which 162 games are played, things can turn around you know so i can't really answer that, plus boston and chicago is in the wild card race, so unless they both miss the playoffs (which i doubt) then they're both a dissapointment
