Well hes been in the league 4 years, led his team to the playoffs 3 times and like you said the Super Bowl win. Id say its money well spent.

More money than Manning? Uhhh…No!

Ben has succeeded cause he consistently plays with one of the best O-Lines in football…and one of the best Defenses in football.

With all that money they could have re-signed Faneca and upgraded their secondary.

I think thats way too much...he's hardly the center piece of the offense with his 22 attempts per game. They don't even ask him to go out and win games for them, a la Peyton Manning...they just ask him not to go out there and lose games for them...lol

I don't think he's worth more than manning, but I do think he's a real deal QB. he deserves a long nice contract, I don't know about all THAT money, but hey good for him.

Wowzers that's a lot of money for Big Ben.
I bet in a year or 2 when a big name wr or rb is on the market he'll restructure that big ass contract to get em and put themselves back in contention for a SB

I think Carson Palmer is good, but I'm not convinced he's better than Ben

and fuck spelling his last name

and that's just my opinion, I'm sure there will be some stupid ass Raider hatred with a corny catch phrase said in "retaliation"

the only reason its more then mannings is because the cap has gone up so much since mannings last extension......if manning were to get another extenstion it would be like 6-7 years 120 mill.........contracts are going up like crazy theres no questioning that....

A lot of the comments I've seen...about him managing the game and not doing much and only throwing 22 passes...are coming from people who obviously didn't see him play this season.

I'd be the first to bitch about this if I thought he wasn't the real deal...but he's a good quarterback, plain and simple, and the Steelers were smart for making sure that they keep him. Now for the next 8 years they don't have to worry about finding a franchise quarterback. That opens up tons of options.

Besides...try getting sacked the second most times in the NFL...and putting up 32 touchdowns to 12 interceptions (or whatever it is).

This pic was taken moments after Big Ben inked the deal, lol.

I dunno if he's worth that much, but then he is a proven winner. Ah well, I don't give a shit anyway, its not my team. He helped Santonio Holmes grab me a gang of fantasy points this season, that's good enough for me, lol.
