Best Tool or Techniec for Cutting Out Pics

Im still very new and figured Id ask this.
What is the best tool or techniec for cutting pics. I figured we have some pros and it wouldnt hurt to ask. I can do it OK, but it wouldnt hurt to get better!!

yeah i like to zoom in close and use the eraser as well

you should learn to use the pen tool once you've outlined your subject you can turn that into a selection then add a layer mask thats how I work

and in CS3 they made it much easier to cut object out with refine edges and quick selection

wish I had a good serial for it

THE BEST WAY TO DO IT IN MY OPINION IS THE ALPHA CHANNEL AND YOUR PAINT BRUSH. BLAK=TAKES AWAY, WHITE=PUTS BAK ON. AND THIS TECHNIQUE IS NON DESTRUCTIVE, SO IF YOU FUK UP, YOU CAN ALWAYS gO BAK.

thats a good way but also time consuming ^.. the plug in does it for in 2 clicks and a second - it has its own system of reading several different pantones
