Its an alright track, but the lyricism is not there. And for my money, I prefer lyricism no matter what the topic is, e.g., Juelz Santana's Whistle Song. Most Lyrical club joint of all time, IMO.
IMO the whistle song is not lyrical at all and I don't think Juelz was going for that but its still the cut...whispers in the wind will grow on you..you have to like it for the right reason..you can't be looking a lyrcial journey and shit

Whispers in the Wind is a song. Songs don't need to be 'lyrical'... people feel the music, most of the people who listen to that Santana song, listen for the whistle, not the lyrics. So, all the 'lyrical genius' that you're feeling is probably going unnoticed be the majority of that song's fans. And as far as most lyrical club joint goes, I think Outcast have about 10-20 more lyrical club tracks than that.
For me it's hard to name one. Here are songs in 2005 that I played a lot on my shows.
Sirens Echo- Perfect Peace
Blockburners- Sunny Day
Blue Scholars- Freewheeling
Dred i- Interrogation
Sonny Bonoho- Faith
E-Dawg (Raz B)- Do Yo Thang
Bosko (Cool Nuts)- She's Mine
Life- I Represent to the Fullest
Boom Bap Project- I really liked the entire cd.
Fenni Casino- Fenni Said
Candidt- Grind
Clockwork- Ride
Unexpected Arrival- Whispers in the Wind
Yuns- Radio
I know there is a lot of good music I didn't hear this year, but you can't hear it all.

Bill Yuns- Radio for the simple fact that its gettin more radio time (atleast as far as I know) than anyother song mentioned in this thread. A good song is a good song but how great is it if u cant get radio to back the song. Whispers in the wind is dope too and its gettin a good amount of play its my favorite song off the album but I still think Radio is a better song
^hey that song is actully pretty dope... there wasn't very many songs that i was feelin in 2005... Redhead Steve's - At The Door was fire but that was in 2004...
