The original Dead trilogy by John Romero. Night Of The Living Dead, Dawn Of The Dead and Day Of The Dead. Not so scary but hella funny in some scenes. Accidental comedy. Then there's the remake of Dawn Of The Dead which came out some time ago but haven't checked out if it is any good.. The very original version of the first part though, Night of The Living Dead, is in black and white but it fits in the atmosphere of the film. There's a remastered DVD release also which I think is in colors. Zombies in the films are corny muthafuckas but that also works in this case.
