LOL.. hilarious. i hope u realize u are a brainwashed sheep, though. MJ and Kobe were placed in 2 different situations...MJ was handed everything and protected by David Stern, while Kobe had to work his way up and defeat the odds, with David Stern working against him. Kobe winning rings with Gasol as a second fiddle is WAY more impressive than MJ winning rings with Pippen as a second fiddle. Pippen, on his own, took Chicago to the Eastern Semi-Finals after Jordan retired. Lakers minus Kobe wouldnt even make the playoffs. in his prime, Pippen was considered the 2nd best player in the NBA behind Jordan. not to mention, Jordan never faced a defense like the 2009 Celtics in the Finals...Utah Jazz, Seattle Sonics? lmao...come on, now. At the end of the day, its hard to compare players when they come from different eras and are placed in completely different situations. but if Kobe ends his career with 6 or more rings, nothing will hold him out of GOAT talks. NOTHING. let the media tell u otherwise, but from a basketball purists stand-point, watching both players will tell u that they have the same ability. biggest difference is that Kobe=more range. When Kobes career is over, we can resume this discussion.
The 2009 Celtics?haha,ur fuckin kiddin, right? gotta be a 90's baby.Who was D'n him up?The great stopper Ray Allen? The fleet footed Paul Pierce? The physical KG? Fat Ass Baby Shaq? Mike did it at a time where layups were'nt optional. When players either scored,or busted someone's ass. There were no "role players".TEAMS Showtime Lakers/80's Celts/BadBoys>>Bulls. Players-Jordan>Oscar,Wilt,Kareem>>>>>>>>>>>Bryant

According to Magic:

I have tried not to comment on what Scottie Pippen said, but Michael is the greatest ever - point blank.
Magic has also stated Kobe is the greatest Laker ever. That's just magic being humble. He has never been that guy to give himself the title of being the greatest of all time. Also Kobe still has a good 4 years left so its not like he's done yet. Guy has been balling up the NBA since he was 18 years old.

except when he got injured in the finals and magic played center in his place. led the team to a championship and he was only a rookie when he did that.

You fuckin' 90's babies don't know shit about the golden era of the nba. the 80's had the best teams and that was when you could actually play real defense. the refs didn't give special treatment to superstars(a trend that started in the 90's with jordan) and you weren't going to win games off of free throws. You had to actually beat the other team, imagine that!

Rookie season in the NBA (1979–80)

Johnson was drafted first overall in 1979 by the Los Angeles Lakers. Johnson said that what was "most amazing" about joining the Lakers was the chance to play alongside Kareem Abdul-Jabbar,[19] the team's 7 ft 2 in (2.18 m) center who became the leading scorer in NBA history.[20] Despite Abdul-Jabbar's dominance, he had failed to win a championship with the Lakers, and Johnson was expected to help them achieve that goal.[21] Johnson averaged 18.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game for the season, was selected to the NBA All-Rookie Team, and was named an NBA All-Star Game starter.[22]

The Lakers compiled a 60–22 record in the regular season and reached the 1980 NBA Finals,[23] in which they faced the Philadelphia 76ers, who were led by forward Julius Erving. The Lakers took a 3–2 lead in the series, but Abdul-Jabbar, who averaged 33 points a game in the series,[24] sprained his ankle in Game 5 and could not play in Game 6.[21] Paul Westhead decided to start Johnson at center in Game 6; Johnson recorded 42 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists, and three steals in a 123–107 win, while playing guard, forward, and center at different times during the game.[21] Johnson became the only rookie to win the NBA Finals MVP award,[21] and his clutch performance is still regarded as one of the finest in NBA history.[5][25][26] He also became one of four players to win NCAA and NBA championships in consecutive years.[27]

if you watch games from when kareem left the lakers, you can really see the lebron/magic comparison. magic was hella big and dominated from everywhere. with dimes for fucking days. half court play dimes, fast break dimes, dime dimes. he had it. except lebra is a broad.
