Take a look at this one I haven't ever had a Hifonics amp but they are supposed to be really good but this would only match them if you could wire the subs at 1 ohm:

This one is a lot cheaper and Phoenix Gold has a great reputation for amps but it will be underpowering the subs by about 200W and this would be good if you can wire the subs at 2 ohms since it isn't stable at 1:

Do your subs have the 2 or 4 ohm voice coils?

Sorry I meant how many ohms is each voice coil they have the 2 ohm voice coils and the 4 ohm voice coils. Since you have 2 subs they can be wired at 1 ohm if they are 4 ohm voice coils and 2 ohms if they are 2 ohm voice coils. You would also have some other options but those are the best options.

are you selling that amp? how much rms is it?

i have a hifonics 1206d but im trying to get another amp
You already have that amp hooked up to the two Type R's? If your running it at 1 ohm that should be just enough power. What is your budget for an amp and how many ohms are the voice coils.

I wouldn't go with the kicker because you aren't going to get even close to enough power since it is a 2 channel amp. The alpine would be good but your still going to be underpowering the subs by about 200w so in that case I would stick with the Phoenix Gold amp I showed you above since it is a really good price.

If I were going to buy an amp though I would go with this Kenwood eXcelon the eXcelon amps are their high quality ones and they really deliver the stated power from what I have seen. I have the smaller (600w rms @2ohm) version of this one and I had it connected to an older type r and it pounded:

It really comes down to what you want since it's going in your car but I would stick with the Alpine, Phoenix Gold or Kenwood eXcelon and if you find a Kicker mono amp in that price range with 1000w RMS it wouldn't be a bad choice either.

I would go with a Jensen amp or maybe a rockford one from the swapmeet. You know the one that looks like kenwood but says rockford? lol

Or a coby one that looks like it was meant to say sony.

IT HAS SONY GUTS! (In my best A-Rab voice)
