4 thow wow is good for an album that had absolutely no promotion. What yall cats expect him to sell when pretty much nobody outside the bay or the net even know its out. Matter of fact I was slappin my dell dj at school and my cuzzo asked what I was listenin to and I said that new B legit, he was like "oh I didn't even know he had new album out." The Bay needs to market more real talk, cuz there's no reason why a cali rap fan should not know when these albums are being released.

The real truth of the matter is that B-Legit should have stayed on KOCH. Fontana , which is Bela"s distributor, is a subsidiary of Universal, therfore they should have spent more promotion dollars. Selling 3,500 pieces in your first week is a brick. As long as we continue to accept these mediocre numbers, the bay will continue to stay in a slump. If your gonna play the game against the big boys, you need to spend some money on radio promotions and shoot a video. Otherwise you should just go put out records with Walt over at CityHall Records and get 7 bucks a unit without any promotion.

I feel that man....Accepting mediocre numbers when we all know B could be doing much much better. What happened with B and Koch that he didnt take advantage of that?

You are correct. You can't compete with the big boys if you're not spending money, simple as that... So how would any record label justify a big promotional budget for an artist like B-Legit? And by that I mean somebody who has never had a hit single or album, and doesn't have mass appeal?

To the cat who said something about 'as long as we accept those numbers' in reference to record sales. If you're an artist whose numbers are unacceptable then that means you have a lot more work to do. Nobody is owed sales, period. Every unit sold is earned so if your numbers are crap it's most-likely because you're crap as an artist, businessman, decision-maker, and/or otherwise.

So many people think they can jump right into the music business without really understanding it, then play the finger-pointing game when they flop. It's endless and yet people still don't learn.
