anyone know how to use the preamp on this thing?? i don't have the instructions

turn the second button in back of the unit on. it next to the on and off button.

Turn on The phantom Power, it's either on the back of the unit or on the top by th master volume fader

i'd save up 130 bucks and get a STudio Projects VTB-1 mic pre tho
hook ya NTK to that...and the vtb-1 to a balanced line input on your mixxer

Push in the button obove the Bar levels, a red Light will come on. There is no "On and Off" button on that mixer. You basically plug the shit in when you want to use it, haha.... Ohhh Do I ever need a new mixer or pre amp.

make sure to turn on the 48v Phantom power switch tho

but you're wasting that mic on the mixxer...
