Can anyone summarize what has changed in the past year or so? I am sure nothing has changed for the better.

I know they charge a 5 for shipping now. And what is this about having to confirm people get their item before you get the money.

ebay's been flooded by sellers with "regular" CDs found everywhere so the serious collectors need to scroll through a whole lot of shit to find some gems. But yeah, I still buy a lot of shit on ebay. I think the verification part you refer to might be done through a shipping confirmation done by the seller, not a confirmation of receipt. I've never got any request to confirm that I've got an item but my email account receives three or four mails for each transaction, automated thank yous, shipping confirmations etc...
