Frisco would have never drafted Pacman. Denver would give you a shot but that's pretty much it. You screw up you're gone...

I agree here with Denver....sure you may have problems before but if you come to the team act like a professional and things will be fine...but fuck up and you're done.

I hope he wasn't legally impaired...Damn the Bears ain't playin... they could have at least waited for the blood-alcohol test results. But after all the trouble Pacman has been causing...They had to do what's best for them. Cut him and move on. He was suspended for half the season anyway. The Bears ain't playin'... they sent a message that other teams need to follow.

I dont think they sent a message. Tank Johnson wasnt some high caliber player. He was an important cog in their defense, I'll give you that, but not a top guy. Sending a message would be waiving some high caliber guy. Would they have taken this same stance with Vasher or Tommie Harris? I doubt it. Not with the talent AND cap hit from the higher profile guys.

nah, but this doesn't sound serious tho. I mean 40 in a 25 zone ain't alot, and it says he was impaired to the slightest degree? now unless he has a prior dui then that shit is probably gonna get thrown out and he'll just be left with a speeding ticket, which is not a big offense to be kicked off a team and lose your job. I agree he should be on a short leash due to the gun charges & probation violations, but this is a little extreme.
When taken by itself, it doesn't sound serious. Hell I can probably get that charge while driving on some Nyquil. He should have been cut on principle alone. If someone told me all I needed to do was obey the LAW and make millions, it would be a no brainer. How dumb can you be to get in trouble AGAIN after just getting out of jail.

But as I said in my previous post, they took a zero tolernace policy because he wasn't a top guy. I be they would have been more patient if it involved a high caliber player like #1 DT or one of their top corners or their all pro MLB

exactly Defy. That is why I don't really give the Bears any props for doing what they did. I am a Falcons fan and I would like to see what would happen if Vick gets convicted or some other shit comes up. Between him flipping off HOME fans, the watergate incident and then the dogs, the Falcons could EASILY enforce some kind of punishment. But he is the face of their franchise and waiving him would make their cap a hot mess. Besides they have Joey Harrington waiting in thew wings........
