i used to always wonder if mf's were truely ready for bay area shit to blow up cuz it would be exploited like all the other areas until enough artists come out to legitimize the true bay sound.

i would have to agree...dumbest thread award goes to him....bay music is not dead...and hip hop was never dead from what nas a jay-z are sayn cause if hip hop was dead the e-40 wouldnt have gone gold...or all these otha artist wouldnt be able to drop shyt...either way hip hop is well alive with or without nas or jay-z in ma opinion

Just as big as that Frontline song (was it Bang It?) was for them on that Tower Records (or some store) commercial :ermm:

It's not "big" because that song isn't a hit outside of the bay area. If that commercial plays in other markets outside of the bay area, then maybe you can say something...

You guys associate "big" or success with fame association and that isn't always synonimous with being a success. It's one little commercial among a million of other commercials that will come and go (just like the song) and that will be the end of it.

music in gereral has become lame and all this lame shit brings the few artists that are actually good down.
Problem is:
1.everyone thinks they can produce, rap or whatever.
2.It's much easier nowadays for any fool to release an album too.
3.there should be some way to filter the garbage.
