There are a lot of people who don't have their business game right. I'm not going to put anybody on blast in here, 'cause the last thing I need is cats gettin' their panties in a bunch over my opinion. Some bigger names, some smaller names. A lot of cats are shady as fuck in different ways, believe it or not. There are only a few rappers I will fuck with from the Bay...

biggest scheme is payin to get on shows. nuff said
This comes from a dude that has completely funded exactly ZERO shows...I can't stand some of the shit on this board where people speak out of their ass. I know you're the CEO of a budding Fortune 100 company and all so I'll chalk your comment up to being extremely busy. Unfortunately these days, it is almost a must for promoters to charge beginning acts ( not OPENING ACTS ) a fee...if you're a no-name that is trying to get some shine, you should JUMP at the chance to pay for exposure, for the same price of paying for flyers that people toss, pay to open with a big name in front of a big crowd. Not only do you get exposure, you get to work on your stage presence in front of an actual crowd of concert-goers, instead of 10 of your friends and an old drunk couple at club nobody.

yea but it still seems to be a big scheme to me having to pay that price.plus i know of plenty of people who have been fucked over by this from recent years from bay promoters doing just that.

i can see if its like an a-list top of thing would huge headliners , my views is different, and that price doesnt seem to worth it...

now u have a decline of shows in the bay from artist here in the bay,go figure. not sayin it has anything to do with the chargin of it,aint nuthin poppin out here

you speaking the truth in certain ways. but we both know that it is promoters out here charging cats and it is damn near a crime how they doing it. not putting them on the flyer or mentioning them in the radio spots. throwing them on so early that literally only ten people see them. or being janky and telling them it is overbooked and they can get on the next one or cancelling at the last minute and holding dudes money and telling them 'rescheduling' I have done dozens of shows and never charged anyone to get down, but i wish i would have and if i ever do another show the opening acts will pay. but i am gonna make sure that they get what they actually paying for and that's exposure.
