the funniest thing about tech decks was what we made before they came out. in 6th grade, my middle school would give out these cheap flimsy binders for us to use. someone came up with the idea to make "Fingerboards" out of them, where we'd cut off little pieces of the binder and flip up the ends and play with them like a tech deck. it was all good till kids started takin the full binder and making one big ass "handboard" and tried to use it on shit. then tech decks came out.
